They were apparently utterly dreadful against Everton. But i don’t know how much of that was actually Everton playing well

From the outside and as someone who doesn’t pay a huge amount of attention to other teams, Palace seem like a bit of a less extreme version of Saints and can be very hit or miss.

Less extreme in what sense? How hit and miss they can be? On paper they have much more dangerous attacking options with Eze, Olise and Zaha. I think we’d take any one of those wouldn’t we let alone all three? But maybe I’m doing a grass is greener thing

Zaha and Eze walk into our team without a doubt. Olise is better than the likes of Djenepo, Tella, Moi too.

And yet they are rather close to us in the league. I think they have had a particularly tough start in therms of fixtures? But suggests they are either under performing or perhaps their defence isn’t quite as solid

I also think it shows how difficult the market for attacking players is.

My estimate of 4 isn’t looking far off.

A loss to Newcastle and Liverpool and that’s 5 out of 18.

Still stand by this. We need to beat either Newcastle or Liverpool or we will be heading into the WC break in the relegation zone.
