We beat them in Feb 09, so you could be right, but it must have been after the group stage. If so so fair play mate.
Whatever, they just don’t lose many home games in the CL. As I say, they’ve won 32 of the last 37 and drawn 5!..
It remains the last home loss too, as Poch put his sixth defender on, Rose for Llorente, along with 3 DMs, to ensure a point. That loss stat only means something if you won there. You didn't. You drew. Dortmund drew there last season too. So you are the first team to er, draw there, since, er, Dortmund last season. Levante, Valencia also drew at the Bernabeu last month. Betis won there
Fair play to you mate, I want them to qualify for the knock out group to get dry humped 5-0 in both legs.
Just banter, my hoisted canard! When we first started our legendary Champions league adventures, we drew 1-1 in Milan in the Group stages of the CL in the late 90s. I went, along with 6k Chelsea. It meant a lot to us, we even sing about it now: Oh Dennis Wise, Scored an effing great goal, at the San Siro, with ten minutes to go.... So, Spurs being CL newbies, I understand, it is a big deal for them
When Spurs started theirs, we lost 4-3 against the defending champions at the San Siro when playing over 60 mins of the match 10 vs 11. The next time we went back 4 months later, we beat AC 1-0 while contending with an injury ravaged squad. So yes, I can see why that 1-1 means so much to you.
It helps when you go in person and see the match live. You were 4-0 down v Inter and 4-1 down until injury time; the late goals were mere consolations
Great stadium, you should go. Just don't do your normal fire drill! You would miss Bale's consolaziones
Sadly we may not draw the plumbers of Milan for a while (neither appear to have been the same since facing Spurs in the CL ) .
