Virgin Media and/or the postal service!!!
The other day we get a letter through, from Virgin Media, stating how they're charging us a late payment fee of ã10. No biggy. Confusing as to why we were getting a late payment charge though...
The following day (or, morning really... 3 in the morning to be precise.. so like, the day after the following day I suppose), our internet and tv goes tits up, much to our surprise! We hadn't had our bill through, so therefore couldn't have had it cut off due to not paying?
The following day, we receive a BILL from virgin media. This was on the 18th May. With the bill dated 3rd May. For ã122, when our bill is normally ã36.
4 times the ****ing amount??? They even had a cheek to add on a ã38 service charge! Service charge?? WHAT SERVICE? I'd hardly call flicking a switch to turn our internet off a 'service'!!
So someone, somewhere, whether at Virgin itself or someone at the postal service, has ****ed up and delivered our bill 2 weeks late, resulting in us being ****ing cut off BEFORE we even get the bill! Which is then 4 times the amount it should be! We proceed to ring up but it's the usual stupid machine woman and a **** load of waiting.
AND, why would Virgin bother cutting us off only 2 weeks after the bill was dated? It's stated in our contract we have 4 weeks to pay before getting cut off.
Someone's ****ed up somewhere, and no ****ing way am I paying 4 times the amount I should be paying AND a late fee which we shouldn't have received in the first place!!
And you just know that 3 measly students aren't going to win against Virgin, and somewhere down the line, at some point, they'll make us pay the full bill, and we'll be forced to!!
