On that note, the majority of Mac users, and the smugness that surrounds Apple products.

Aye, some of the people at college that have macs act like right dicks, even if they don't need them for that lesson, they HAVE to get it out, because it's a mac and some don't have them.

I always feel like a twat using mine in lectures - the little desks are on the right hand side, and I'm left handed, I can't write! I have to use it. I feel like a right bell end though, I'd rather not...

I know what you mean, I avoid taking mine to college as much as possible because I feel like a right prick having one out in public.

<ok> People that refer to all mp3 players as iPod's piss me off.

"It's a ****ing Creative Zen you ****er!!!" is my usual response.

Strangely I don't get annoyed if somebody asks about my hoover even though it isn't either. Fickle huh!

What Zen? I loved my old Zen Vision: M, still have a Stone lying around that I use when for the gym.

Creatives are ace. I had one, but broke it. Meaning to get another one but I don't have any money nor do I use MP3 players that often. But still, I want one <laugh>

Unfortunately I can't find an MP3 player besides an ipod that is loud enough for music that hasn't had its dynamic range compressed for maximum loudness. I tried Sony, Samsung and listened on a few others that friends own and I can never hear classical music or pre-70s recordings at all.

Most MP3 players are limited in terms of maximum volume due to some EU regulation, there are ways around it though, or at least there is for the Zen Vision: M.

The smug tossers who always get their iPads out piss me off. They could've tattooed **** across their forehead and saved themselves a couple of hundred quid. <ok>

The thing that pisses me off with MP3 players these days is the amount of unnecessary **** they put on them. Touch screens, FM radios, who wants a ****ing camera on their MP3 player? I just want something, reasonably small, reasonably cheap, with a **** load of memory. Doesn't even need a colour screen, I want to listen to music on it, not view ****ing holiday photos on it.

Any suggestions? <ok>

Oh I cant stand them. The worst part is, they just get it out intermittently then play on random apps, for no real reason other than to show everyone else in the room that they have an iPad.

Don't know about modern ones. I'd still be using my 60GB Jukebox if I hadn't dropped it in the bath. No frills just brilliant sound quality and i'd filled the memory.

Just noticed there is a second hand 30GB Jukebox on sale on Amazon (£55). Am tempted.

I wonder if they even used their brains when setting these regulations. Probably most MP3 player users make use of their devices on the commute, yet unless what they want to listen to has a waveform that looks like a cement wall they won't hear a thing past the sounds of whats going on around them, even with a good set of real headphones.
