I also think the task of turning things around is bigger than at any other club. And that's compounded by what you said.
Just on the thing about not wanting a manager who's managed another PL club, can you think of any big PL club where that's brought success? United, Livpl, City, Chelsea etc? The successful ones have always come from outside the league.
