It was more to do with the season being over, we'd won a cup and defeated City while we were at it, and it's time to reset over the summer and he goes into this season with a clean slate and, hopefully, a fit squad. We can't ignore the league position but it's done, season over, no point keep reflecting back on that. We're in a European competition that reflects where we are, we've made decent signings as should make some more, and hopefully one or two will still yet leave. Time to get behind him.
I’m excited for the new season to see if we can make a clean break from the last. While I’m not so confident we will, I certainly want to be proven wrong.
