Strangely, when I arrived at work on Friday, I sat in my car for 20 mins, not wanting to get started, and read over a series of messages between roller and I about David's passing.
I never met him, but I felt like I knew him and I think of him far more often than is normal for someone who has passed, whose hand you've never shaken.
Hope you're resting well old buddy.
Time goes so fast....Brixton was the reason I and many others came to this board. I met him only once, but in that one meeting I was taken in like an old friend...
Rest in Peace...and much love to your family who continue to grow in your light
Tempes Fugit - A sad passing of someone who was the cornerstone of our board, RIP David, a privilege to have known you.
I'm sure he would have been livid at the awful state of the Private Hire situation in London at present regarding Uber undoing so much of the hard work the LPCHA did to assist their members...
Can't believe it's three years since the sad passing of our friend Brixton.
A fine contributor and moderator and one of the main reasons why this forum continues to thrive.
RIP Brixton your spirit is alive and kicking on this forum.
It's an emotional thread to flick back over. Lots of shock and sadness, vast amounts of respect paid to David, and lots of names of people who no longer post.
Three years - wow , where does time go? Brix was a great mod, I only had interactions with him online, but his passion for our club, and the way he structured the rules for this forum were indicative of the man he was.
RIP Brix, gone but not forgotten
Sad to see a lot of good quality ex-posters in this thread......come back guys!!
RIP Brix. Great to see the respect continue for a superb contributor and well loved man amongst the long running board of QPR fans. His legacy still,
continues through this board and those that continue to carry the flag and follow in his footsteps and values.
It was part of the charm of the man that he didn't even realise how loved he was; he never gave his own status a moment's thought as the needs of others far outweighed his own.
