You're familiar, then? Got really into them because my mate used to manage a hotel that had them all on rotation, and I didn't have to pay for drinks there. In the St Albans Beer Festival they've got the "beer of the festival" award three years running.

Yes, I love real ales and I like to try small 'local' ales wherever I am. I had Oakham ales at a Golf club and also as a guest ale at a hotel on rutland water. In the next village to me is a micro brewery with a couple of beauties.

Until a couple of years ago, my wife and I had a business going 'on the side' importing Caribbean foods. We used to attend loads of food and drink festivals at weekends and one of the benefits was the local ale tasting. At the end of the show, I'd swap some sauces for beers every week.
