I'd think if we could sell him we would. It'll be a loan deal because it's the only way Fiorentina can do it. I think the wages are more of a priority and FSG will defer any transfer fee to get a player off the wage bill.
To be fair it's really a bit of both.
In case anybody hasn't yet noticed, money is extreemely short in both Spain and Italy at present - in fact the whole Eurozone is teetering on the brink. Everybody knows they need to invest but the cost of funds and the financial risk attached to loans is so high at the present that nobody is prepared to take the risk or pay the interest rates. Hence a loan is about as far as they can go.
As for FSG then they are trying to protect their investment. If they sell in this market they lose money. Better to loan the player again and get him off the wage bill. If he has a good season then his stock and value rises. FSG are closer to realising their outlay (which indirectly they took on when the bought the club) without having to service the running costs (his wages).
Obviously Kenny has made no strong attempts to demand that he is a vital part of of the team plan so the fiancial aspects rule

I'm sickened today to read an article by our own Brian Reade in the Mirror slagging off Modric and others because of the old wages whine then defending Bryan Robson for getting himself a little something in what can't be a dodgy deal because he made it in a Utd bar in Thailand! All because Robson made the comment about football being a business now to justify his dodgy dealings, which apparently makes him A-OK in Reade's books.

Liverpool have today confirmed that Martin Hansen has joined Bradford City on an emergency loan.
The Danish stopper featured for the Reds during the pre-season tour of Asia and now moves to the Bantams in a deal that will see him remain with the League Two outfit for a 28 day period.

Milan Baros scored twice against his former club as Liverpool slipped to a 3-0 defeat to Galatasaray in Istanbul on Thursday evening.
Kenny Dalglish named a youthful-looking squad for Liverpool's journey to Turkey, and the starting XI contained the likes of John Flanagan, Jack Robinson, Jonjo Shelvey, and Martin Kelly.
There was a more experienced feel to the attack, though, with Andy Carroll partnered by Joe Cole, while Sotirios Kyrgiakos captained the side.
New signings Charlie Adam, Stewart Downing and Jordan Henderson remained on Merseyside ahead of Monday's trip to Norway.

Fit again Pepe Reina hopes to make his comeback in our friendly against Valerenga on Monday.
Our goalkeeper underwent surgery on a double hernia earlier in the summer but after sitting out pre-season so far, he is now ready to don his gloves once again.

Thank god for that,I only want to see Alex Doni in goal when he has a solid and stable back-line in front of him,he's not a bad keeper,he just needs a good defence in front of him...one that doesn't contain Degen and Insua.
Doni was not at fault what so ever. He actually probably kept the game respectable. a well hit strike for the third, Poulsen and Insua problems on the first two.
Thats what I meant,He's a good keeper,but a strong and solid defence would give him confidence,and a strong defence is not one that contains Degen and Insua.
So what you're basically saying is that a keeper is bound to do better if there was a solid defense in front of them?
Who woulda thought it, eh.

Gerrard, 31, began a course of antibiotic treatment for an infection on Saturday and is expected to remain in hospital for several days.
Groin surgery ended Gerrard's season in March but he had expected to be back for the start of the new campaign.
The midfielder could also miss England's two Euro 2012 qualifiers against Bulgaria and Wales.
