The team is in absolute disarray. I don't think we can really judge any one at the moment. Just too much upheaval.

Once we have a new manager in we can probably start making judgements.

That's my thinking anyway.

That's very true. Really feel we should be looking at Steve Cooper now tho.

It's most weeks, I look at the goals we concede. I think the keeper can do better. It's not the odd mistake. It's nearly every game. He has been incredibly poor for a long time.

I have watched Patterson for months now and am worried about him, he does not look like a happy lad, maybe there is more going on in his life that we are not aware of. What is the off field bad attitude issues that have been mentioned? I hope its not and hes just as sick as the rest of us but in the back of my head he looks like a such a different lad to the one we watched last season. Mental health affects everybody sometime and living it out in such a public way would be hell.

Welcome to our little community, '73 <hug>
I believe that Patta has always been/looked the same, even before this bad spell, 'cos he's always seemed to be cool/laid back, so I don't see any difference.

None of us know about the Jack Diamond effect, if there's been one, so it may be affecting him, but I can't see it :emoticon-0145-shake

He might just need an arm around him (sort of Uncle Tony style) :emoticon-0148-yes:

But he was good last season mate and so were we.
Just because were struggling now theres no point in dragging mistakes up from the past. Hes also saved us alot of points but because he's apparently had a dip in form i think some fans are nit picking now and he doesnt deserve that.

I blame our summer recruitment and having Ballard as our only senior natural CB despite being only a kid himself.

I dont mind our recruitment up to this point as long as it is only up until the end of this season. It was a good tactic getting us promoted from league 1 and consolidating in the Championship (it nearly got us promoted again). Its gone stale now though. If we still continue with this recruitment model next season, then I will start to get concerned (especially so if we sell Clarke and have some cash on the hip as a result). We have enough youngsters with potential. It's obvious that we need to beef up the 1st team with players who are good enough NOW. If we continue with this model then I will start to question whether our owner actually wants promotion within the next 2-3 years.

We're not talking Darron Gibson here but it's something a big football club should address

The larger issue is how SAFC looks after a big group of young lads from different countries

Sam Allardyce was big on player liasons, people employed to help them settle in and deal with life in a high pressure environment with long spells of down-time inbetween

I wonder how much support this group get? Anybody know? Young lads in general would reluctantly admit they need help I would imagine.

If the bindippers want him that Kellegher was fairly decent in the cup. Straight swap <laugh>.

Patto good shot stopper. Distribution absolutely woeful.

Distribution was good when we played at home a few games ago.

I hope we stick with Patto to the end of the season, cannot start messing around with the keeper, that would undermine his confidence.

What confidence ??, he is weak of mind weak in stature, weak as piss in distribution, throwing the ball to 09 surrouded by their midfield was a silly little boy mistake.

Bit harsh,Bob. He was excellent last year, not so this. Something is going on with him, which I would like to think the Club were on top of and sorting out.

I really hope the club are on top of this. I have my doubts though. At the end of the day it is just a game. I think we all need to be mindful of what they can read on social media, Patto in particular has had some awful things said about him.
