But he was good last season mate and so were we.
Just because were struggling now theres no point in dragging mistakes up from the past. Hes also saved us alot of points but because he's apparently had a dip in form i think some fans are nit picking now and he doesnt deserve that.

I blame our summer recruitment and having Ballard as our only senior natural CB despite being only a kid himself.

Have you seen Bishop play? He doesn't have wrists or functioning hands

He’s a good keeper no doubt just saying I mentioned he makes his fair share of mistakes last season and got **** from all angles!

DM and a proper CB alongside Ballard is massively needed. All of these lucky deflections and loose balls excuses are a load of cack, good defenders anticipate where the ball and strikers are going they don’t stand ball watching like we do at times.

A lot going on here. Don't want to write an essay, so:

Talk of Patto losing his way on and off the pitch. He's been outstanding the last three seasons and in terms of player development he might've been here too long, a bit in his comfort zone. Not sure how this could be addressed.

Lack of experience in the squad in general. This point probably done to death but the result wasn't just Patto's fault.

He seems to be a decent shot stopper but his distribution is abysmal. With the trend to play it out from the back that is a big liability to put it mildly. I start to worry everytime we get a goal kick as the opposition line up across our penalty area. I think he needs to be rested for a few games to get his confidence back. Not writing him off totally but at the moment he’s a bit of a weakness

This is the time when TM would probably put an arm around Patterson shoulders and have some wise words to settle him down. At some level, somewhere we need some wisdom added. A Kevin Ball being around as a mentor without needing to coach would help hugely, we’ve all read articles by Pickford and Henderson who credit him immensely with guiding their development.

On the other hand, had he been rested today we could have been 4 down by half time. He has no option but to play it out from the back as we are completely inept at winning a header when it is kicked upfield, which leads to him being put under pressure when it inevitably comes straight back from one of the defenders.

I certainly wouldn’t be resting the lad unless he was physically knackered

All the ****e results we've had this season. I'd say none have solely been down to Patterson. Our defense as a whole has been poor through out. It's definitely left him exposed. I blame a combination of injuries and poor recruitment. I'd also say allowing Bathh to leave was a mistake too. I'm not Patterson's biggest fan either, he definitely has his own weakness. Lack of command and distribution being his main ones.

I'm just so deflated this season man. Really feels like we need some key recruitment being made. Unfortunately I think we loose at least 2 of our best players.

I agree he has no option but to play it out from the back as that is what he is being told to do. It’s just that he’s not very good at it.

Interesting opinion. I've not given it much thought as not aware of who we'd turn to. Bishop, not aware of his form

Agree. He's ok, but not a player I'd lose sleep over if we sold. If the off field stuff is true, then maybe there is something worth retrieving, but he's not good enough IMHO

I disagree, like his laid back attitude. Chill.

Ekwah on the other hand seems to be on the happy baccy most games ... Still like him as well

Hes a very good keeper, but as usual a bad run of results and some of our fans turn on certain players

He's not over rated, he's a very good keeper, and according to managers who have picked him he has a very good attitude and mentality

Truestory mate. If we were a decent team he wouldn't be exposed so much so we need to look at the bugger picture.
3 from our back 4 or 5 today are kids with zero experience. Embarrassing and as a club we don't deserve this recruitment mentality
