Because he'd be more likely to win stuff at LFC and get European football? Are you honestly so blinkered as to not see why a player would make the step up from Swansea to Liverpool?? <doh>

Well he's still not sure about it so that's got to tell you something. Liverpool are just a mid table side at the moment and I can't see that changing any time soon. Are you that blinkered to think that just because of your history, you just have to snap your fingers and players would come running?
At this stage I wouldn't bet against Joe staying another season to play under the best manager he could possibly learn from, then hope for a move to the club he supported as a boy. Man utd

Wasn't aware you knew Allen's thoughts? As far as I was concerned he's been honouring his agreement until such time that we activate his release clause. And no, I don't think players will come running at the snap of a finger, hence we are having sniff around the likes of you guys for players rather than good clubs - but for Allen, Europa League, Carling Cup wins, and higher wages, whilst ****e as **** for what LFC used to be, is still a damn site better than the relegation scrap you will be in next year.

Liverpool fans are reminding me of Leeds a bit, living in the past.

Liverpool are looking over their shoulders at the likes of Fulham, Sunderland and even us. Shouldn't they be looking over their shoulders at Man Utd, Chelsea and Arsenal instead ?

At one time a very successful club but there's a lot of work needed to be done to catch the really big boys and I can't help but wonder if Rodgers is up to the job.

I've no I'll feeling towards them but I can't help feeling that this has been handled by LFC and Rodgers with no dignity at all. I wonder if Messers Shankly and Paisley would have behaved like this. My guess is never in a million years, those men had class

All I can promise is I'll fight for my life for the club...I will leave no stone unturned in my quest - and that quest will be relentless." Brendan Rodgers, 2012
Sounds like Dodgy thinks he's King Arthur

He'll need to be if he want's to turn our ****ing sinking ship around

I'll forgive you for not being aware of the fact that I know his thoughts, you obviously haven't seen my other posts on the issue to understand how I know he's indecisive, but I assure you he is.
Relegation scrap? If we're going to be in a relegation scrap God help you with our reserves

, is still a damn site better than the relegation scrap you will be in next year.

Words to live or die by. Let's see who is scrapping come January. Arrogance is going to a terrible pill to swallow.

BTW we took 4 out of 6 points from you last season, I think we will take all 6 this season.

The Fenway group have spent 130,000,000 since they took over in 2010 , you'd never know it by results to this point . And paying 23 million for Rogers & Allen just doesn't seem like your fixing the problem at your club

When put in those terms it's says all that needs to be said. I would add that the Fenway Group run one of the most "long on promise, short on delivery" baseball franchises in the history of that sport - only the Cubs are more impotent than the Red Sux. A pedigree to bank on?

Told this morning Joe had a meeting with ML and Jenkins and informed them he intends to accept the offer Liverpool have made for him.

Liverpool have not formally made the release clause activating £15m offer in writing yet, but have told Swans they will be.

However, agreeing how the £15m will be paid up could take a good few days or more negotiating and haggling over, so I wouldn't expect any official news until next week.

EDIT - I see this news has already got out to one of the Wales papers or news websites.:

They won the biggest prize in Baseball in 2007 which is only 5 years ago and had already won it once before in the 2000s.

Befeore Fenway took over the Red Sox hadn't been anywhere near the title for nearly a century.

Fenway have also doubled the value of the Baseball team since taking them over in 2001 and have an expensively assembled (but underperforming) squad and wage rolls in baseball.

They have done a fantastic job all in all and most Red Sox fans (including me) would agree with this.

Just more bitter biased lies from you.

Don't worry I'll use the ignore function.

How you can say that about FSG and the Red Sox is bewildering and anyone who knows anything about baseball would agree. Tey are going through a temporary blip at the moment (like Liverpool) but I'm certain, just as Liverpool, in the long term FSG will fix it and get it back to the top.

Well done you , now pay up ,<ok>

SA9, I have no idea what the legalities are but we al know HJ. It could be that the Spurs offer could be something like them valuing Joe at £17M and Caulker at £5M hence the £12M cash difference. That way Huw simply says to Liverpool that he's accepted a higher offer from Spurs for Joe, I don't see anything wrong with that, but as I said I'm guessing

Really?

Jenkins cannot do anything about any club who bids the specified £15m. I thought that would be obvious. Its why its called a release clause. What would be the point of said clause if Swansea can still veto a move?

Any of the 5 clubs who bids the required £15m can have him and Jenkins is powerless.

Its **** like, but thats just the way it is.

If a none named club in Joe's contract bid £15m that doesn't have to be accepted though, like Spurs for example, so Jenkins can continually turn them down or accept a lower/higher bid than LFC's from then, but he still can't make Joe accept that higher offer if the player decides to accept Liverpools offer instead so long as they have activated the release clause.
