As it stands we cant do anything.
FFP period we're in is
20/21 - we made a £13m profit after adjustments for FFP
21/22 - we made a £58m loss after adjustments for FFP
22/23 - we made a £60m loss after adjustments for FFP
Currently we are bang on the £105m loss threshold for this window. (£60m loss, £58m loss, £13m profit)
However, the accounting period is from 1st July for all PL clubs. Come the summer 20/21 (£13m profit season drops off, which currently saves our arse)
The good news is because the accounting period is 1st July, it means this seasons accounts (which will be used from 1st July) will have Sela, Adidas, CL money all on it which will see us in profit again. Estimating another £90m of income in comparison to last seasons accounts from commercial revenue. Added to that the sales of ASM and Chris Wood which is roughly another £40m.
Therefor come the summer we will have £70m of wiggle room with FFP again. In theory if everyone we sign in the summer was placed on 5 year deals that could come in at a £350m spend (If they went in that deep).
So in theory - No we don't need to sell players or shift players unless we were desperate to do business this month.
