It's another load of **** they're trying to force through. That **** masters sat there saying the ideal situation would be if everyone did what they were told basically and that they were more than capable of Governing... ie keeping their dirty secrets behind closed doors. Parry is another vole.
How about every club in the league can spend up to the highest earned revenue in the league the previous season but you are not allowed to go into club debt more than £Xm? That way you have an even playing field that is based on the wealth of the league but you still protect clubs. Risks go on the owners instead
Not crazy about the idea either. But apparently a £7m loan fee for Phillips will mess up our FFP, so what options do we have?
As it stands we cant do anything. FFP period we're in is 20/21 - we made a £13m profit after adjustments for FFP 21/22 - we made a £58m loss after adjustments for FFP 22/23 - we made a £60m loss after adjustments for FFP Currently we are bang on the £105m loss threshold for this window. (£60m loss, £58m loss, £13m profit) However, the accounting period is from 1st July for all PL clubs. Come the summer 20/21 (£13m profit season drops off, which currently saves our arse) The good news is because the accounting period is 1st July, it means this seasons accounts (which will be used from 1st July) will have Sela, Adidas, CL money all on it which will see us in profit again. Estimating another £90m of income in comparison to last seasons accounts from commercial revenue. Added to that the sales of ASM and Chris Wood which is roughly another £40m. Therefor come the summer we will have £70m of wiggle room with FFP again. In theory if everyone we sign in the summer was placed on 5 year deals that could come in at a £350m spend (If they went in that deep). So in theory - No we don't need to sell players or shift players unless we were desperate to do business this month.
Keep in mind Forrest are only at year 2 for PL ffp cycle. Not sure how this going to be judged regarding a psr breach. There may be a possibility that they get off with it this year but Everton get done again
