afternoon all. Having a bit of a mental day today...busiest for ages..i shouldn't complain but it's all a bit bonkers...work seems to be a bit like buses at the mo! Still, home for a quick lunch before heading out in the beautiful Herfordshire weather again..have a great day all :)

Nah, limited overs anyday. And NFL just got physical, Green Bay started fighting with NO Saints. #GOPACKERS!!!!

Saw the Pats destroy the Bills last night - hope they do the same to the Rams at Wembley - pie and I are going! As for cricket, with the domestic game I prefer limited overs, but in the international game, I don't have a preference as long as it's close, unless it's an easy England win.

I did see that, i didnt watch it, but caught the end of the review and it seemed like a good game. Im just grateful that the Packers won. It was on an edge for a while. <yikes>

Well I am deep cleaning bathrooms and toilets!

Not as deep as I'm having to do, I'll bet. This is the start of 'dirty week' for the BB household - we're having a new, walk-in shower installed & it's a three day job, so no showers till Friday. :(

The old one had been leaking for who knows how long & I'd been dreading finding out what damage had been done to the floorboards/walls. Fortunately, not a lot, but builders are messy creatures & my jaw dropped when I arrived home and surveyed the scene.

My wife will have her work cut out cleaning up after him! ;)

No - I've only seen one of their matches in the 16 years I've been living here and that was last season. pie and I should be going a week on Saturday to the British & Irish Cup tie against Pontypridd. I must admit that as I used to go and watch them regularly when I was at Uni, I want Ponty to win. The current coach Dale "Chief" McIntosh was a Ponty player when I used to watch them. If a team plays in the image of their coach, then the Jersey team are in for a very tough afternoon: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jeoMBGk32x4&feature=relmfu

Morning all from a pleasant morning in West West London - decided not to go tonight as I need an early night! Little Miss W_Y is going with a Charlton fan from work and meeting some Watford up there and coming back on the train with them, so I will be getting text alerts.

2C today and rain. To the north the rain is much harder and Öxnadalsheiði there is more snow.

Mark Hughes is worrying as coaches in QPR do not stay long without success and Colin was far better.

Morning GG, hope you are chugging along ok. <ok>

I remember when GFZ was at West Ham there was a lot of discontent among the fans at the way he was treated. He was a popular figure with most of them, and really does come across as an engaging character.

Morning OFH
Chugging along, thanks- misfiring somewhat! Still can't walk much.

Don't know about you, but I find it incredibly frustrating, with all these changes going on, not to be able to get to the Vic and get a sense of how it's going down. That's why this forum is so vital to me.

Morning all

Opened the Grauniad to find a full page interview with GZ.

A well balanced counterblast to the Mail last week.

I should have put this comment in this thread not the Zola one......:

Generally a very good article - but why, oh why, the emphasis on that part of the ground which obviously needs rebuilding - there are 3 other sides that are more than respectable compared to some grounds.

"....just a few minutes earlier he'd had to decide whether we would sit down for this interview at crumbling old Vicarage Road in the Luther Blissett suite or in a room named after John Barnes...." and "...As we walk out onto the pitch at Vicarage Road, on an autumnal evening, it's easy to retain a sense of humility in Watford. One side of the stadium is dilapidated and in urgent need of rebuilding while, down the dingy tunnel leading from the dressing room, a 'Mind Your Head' sign has been tacked up in warning..."

Some would say crumbling and dilapidated could well refer to the Grauniad.

they mentioned it on Talksport, the article..and all they could manage to say was what a shame it is when a club loses it's ethos and doesn't use it's kids anymore...good to know they've done their research then...twats!

Wait till Adrian Durham gets hold of it then and there will be some even more ridiculous and provocative comments from that ... err... bloke.

I read the reports of Watford and the reactions. Always the same. A journalist writes text and it is criticised. I know they will not please everyone but every article says bad things, if you go back to GT the club was criticised for something.

We should be prepared after such time and ignore the comments. I think it is only jealousy as Watford have always done something different, EJ/GT other young managers and now the Pozzo family.
