it just put me off for life...seems a daft sport...at least in NFL they have protection...and though it's woosy...it seems a lot safer...and i know neck breaks are rare...and he was very unlucky...but i was very impressionable so it just made me hate it. It's probably very irrational.

As for golf, it just bores me witless...which cricket doesn't, so that's odd lol

I understand <big hugs>. But NLF is not as wossy as you might think. I cant stand test cricket, but limited overs is ok.

i agree, limited overs is faster, but there's something about test matches...i love 'em!

and yep, NFL can be rough for sure!

Morning all, fine and sunny here again. Dracula is a bit late this morning to come and draw blood. :(

The news out here has covered the golf really quite well. I did not realise that courses had to bid to hold the event rather like countries wanting world events until I read this.

"The French and Dutch bids were the only two to have completed courses and the French one had huge support from the country's golfing public.

Over 400,000 members of the French golf federation agreed to pay an annual 3 euro levy for 10 years towards a French Ryder Cup bid.

Around 20 miles outside Paris, the spectacular course is one of the best in the world for spectators and can accommodate 70,000 of them."

    FOOTBALL
QPR striker Rob Hulse signs a three-month loan deal with Championship side Charlton.

The 32-year-old, who scored two goals in 24 appearances for QPR, moves across London and goes straight into the squad for Tuesday night's game at home to Watford.

Afternoon all. Just taking my lunch break at work. Its been a good day today, i am on my own in the warehouse so have a lot to be doing and a lot to remember or work out. The good thing i guess is that i did not get soaked at the training ground lol.

Let us hope that he is as effective as Beckford was for Huddersfield.
