It is the most beautiful of days here, comfortably warm and not the sign of a cloud anywhere. I am still contented with the result yesterday. Somehow it seemed before the game that we could not just roll over again, we needed something. It could have been a loss, but with style and fight.

You get a good impression of the game from Jon Marks and there were times in the second half when he was purring happily and getting really expansive in his praise of the style and players.

I know that it split opinions, but if ever someone tried to show that he was greatful for his second chance by doing his best and more, then it was Troy Deeney. 20 mins from the end he looked as if he had run himself into the ground, but Jon Marks and Matt Rowson just could not believe how he kept going to the end.

Just spotted that Udinese finished scoreless today - they've only scored 6 in 5 matches -and that led me to think "If they continue scoring, can Vydra/Forestieri be recalled to help solve Udinese's problem?" <yikes>

    Anyone know?

Im glad you are warm Frenchie, my toes are about to fall off!! Im just looking forward to my road beef, roast potatoes, yorkshire puddings, and veg for my dinner. Deeney was everywhere yesterday, one minute he was winning the ball on the edge of our box and the next he was recieving the ball the other end of the pitch. I cant fault his effort and his determination. If he keeps this up im sure he will win people over.

<laugh> i'm glad you're happy Dan :) It's weird..i love sport, but i have never been able to get excited about golf, it's just too dull for me. But then...i hate rugby too, but that's for different reasons...!
