Just finished watching Ant-Man [2015]. Bit of a laugh. Not much more one can say really. Another picture where I think Marvel got the balance about right for the genre, Amazing how they do it, yet for me, DC miss almost every time.

My nipper has suddenly become a 'superhero' nut. He's forcing me to watch most of the films made over the last 10yrs or so. Seeing them (again) does bring home some wrong turns DC have made but at least they realised how awful 'Batman and Robin' was.

Ant-Man scored an 'ok' on his scoring system of meh - ok - great. I enjoyed it but did have to put up with his constant pointing out of physics based inconsistencies though, bloody know all 12yr olds!

Trump in trouble again after appearing to suggest that those bearing arms could influence things even if Hilary Clinton is elected. Although not as dangerous or evil as the IS (would never suggest that), there is something similar about the way the gun toters in the US react to any threat to change the 2nd amendment and the way radical Muslims react to even the mildest criticism of their view of Islam. Trump may not have meant what he said, but he isn't talking to rational people.

Interesting comparison there Fran - as you say, not as dangerous or evil, but that thought is there to be conjured with, for sure.

http://news.sky.com/story/wimbledon-player-poisoning-investigated-10531298

Police investigating a claim that a junior GB player was poisoned before her Wimbledon match. Hospital said it was a disease usually caught via rat urine....don't know what makes that suspicious. And would anyone really poison a junior....hardly big money at stake.

On the face of it, it seems like a ridiculous claim to make by her mother. Rats can be anywhere, just because it's not obvious where she contacted it doesn't mean she was deliberately poisoned.
