Let's not get carried away with the Sint-Truidense sale, he did exactly the same with SL ..... he got what he considered an acceptable offer for the Club and sold it..... the problem for us is that he considers an acceptable sale figure for us is £50m+ which is probably on the very high side of a stupid valuation. Perhaps if Murray is NOT part of the deal that may be achievable but with Murray in tow.... never!

The big difference between owning a (small) Belgian club & an English one is that there is potentially a huge pot of gold at the end of the English rainbow. No matter how badly you mismanage a club, you still have a chance ..

If Roland expects to get back all the debt he has built up, then his valuation of the club will go up and up as the debt builds up. Difficult to see how it will play out if this is the case. CL has a poster called Doucher whose source is saying nothing is happening. His source has been flushed out as Richard Murray.

That leaves RE in a certain place ...

People on here with real sources checked with those sources & reported back that nothing new was happening.

RE always quotes “multiple sources” but as has been pointed out before, neither reliable or credible ones.

From a business point of view, why would you not sell when you were languishing in lower/ mid League 1, and then decide to sell when you are 3rd and within sight of promotion to the Championship (where Charlton’s value would increase?)

The step up between League One and the Championship is now nearly as large as the step from the Championship to the Premier League.
So far this season KR has done a remarkably and surprisingly good job, with a budget of what, just over half a million quid?

All credit to Robinson for that, but such meagre spending will not work in the Championship.
And we know that Duchatelet won't invest in good quality Championship players.

If Robinson gets us up to the second division next May, Duchatelet had better sell while the 2018-19 season is all potential and positive theory, and before it becomes relegation struggle (and renewed protest) reality.

I think that the Takeover is still trundling along. No guarantee that it is going to happen though. No inside info, just what a number of people I trust have told me.

What’s the context behind this? A guy who’s known for knowing RM, or someone claiming too?
