With a Tory majority and having complete control that's me out of a job in the next few years. Cameron has decimated the Police, Prison, Fire Service and local councils during his time in office and I think there's just more to come this term.
I've never been a all me eggs in one basket sort of bloke I have no allegiance to any one party I look at what is best for me personally and this time round Labour happened to suit and the Tories at the moment are the worst for my personal circumstances.

Seemed that London returned a lot of left wingers -Tories appeal to self interest,fear and hate -all very reactionary -but an electoral system that distorts real views so much is not fit for purpose......... I'll remind you Tories in a couple of years when the economy is really hammered......
I think you might have forgotten the SNP infighting that will happen in a year or two when the MSPs and MPs start to have differing viewpoints - they will be worse than rats in a bag
Regardless of the outcome let me just say I absolutely love living in a country where the Monster Raving Loony Party got twice as many votes as the British National Party 
So the nation votes in a party, that does not give us a democratic vote on Europe, in a Nation that only see's Wales and Scotland as a country, while the English take all the blame for everyone's misgivings, a Prime Minister that does not involve himself in a TV debate with the other parties. With an influx of Eastern Europeans, but if i dare complain it brands us as possible racists for daring to vote for an alternative party other than Red or Blue. Good luck with the Tories when they privatise the NHS...destroys the working classes further and their vices with taxes for not conforming to health. The nanny state lives on...and in five years time all those voters will be whining again as the divide between lower class and the upper classes becomes greater. We will eventually become one state like the ****ing United States of America as Adolf has the last laugh in his grave at what he originally failed to achieve.

I don't have one party that I follow- I was a student last time in 2010 and went with Lib Dem, who I thought could make a credible bid to mix it with the two, that's right, TWO parties that this country has voted for since the 1905-1915 Liberals (you can dismiss the Nationals during Second World War necessity).
However, I am terrified of the potential back door privatisation of the NHS so a Conservative Majority has both surprised me and scared me in equal measure. I find it worrying that we have such a gullible electorate in that we have somehow ended up with a majority for a party whose policy has been 'Don't vote for Labour, look at the last mess'.
Ths cobblers about 'bringing down the deficit' is a mask used to justify welfare cuts. We've always been in debt. The big difference is that b 2010, there was a global recession. And in a global economy, that means the **** its the fan for you too.

TC with an ageing and growing population I can see your fear. I hope we do get back to the GP 's of my youth and with this A&E becomes just that. I have a pipe dream of self responsibility in the UK and the welfare state returning to its original format of an emergency back up not a lifestyle choice of a feral society. I would also like to see a massive reduction of in work benefits that should in turn cause a natural fall in house prices and private rent. Also Eds point of control of the energy prices was a fair idea if a bit naiive (theyd have been putting the prices up today before he got the fix in place) also lets rid ourselves of the blaim/claim culture. The labour leader vote will be interesting as long as its not another len mcckluskey puppet or the very unlabourlike chukka fellow!
Labour leader debate is a very interesting one but for me Labour needs a new identity. The political landscape has changed. To be decimated at a time when people would normally turn to a party like Labour means that the trust, belief, and ability to identify in Labour have all gone.
Their leader has to be clear, succint, and direct in their portrayal of whatever that identity is. I don't have those answers but I will be an interested spectator

Woke up this morning vowing to put the GE behind me however a show in BBC Radio 4 returned me, not to 'political', but to review mode. What actually happened on Thursday?
I must first of all state that I hold no political, statistical or current affairs degrees or qualifications at all. Neither have I reviewed the votes won by each party in each constituency.
Here are my thoughts:
1. SNP surge did not affect Conservative seats as they held their only seat albeit with a greatly reduced majority (sorry for 'political' bent).
2. The Liberal Democrat collapse; relevant but does in itself explain the outcome in seats won by each party; would Libdem voters change to Conservative?
3. The reduction in the UKIP voting intention from about 17% to the final result of 12%. This in itself does not explain the result however if we 'drill down' (workspeak - sorry) into the reduction of around 5% we may get some understanding of the final outcome of seats attained by each of the 'major' parties. What if seven or eight percent of former Consrevative returned to vote 'Tory' and two or three percent of Labour voters changed to UKIP. Now, why would my contention take place:
Conservatives may have 'returned' because of the promise of European referendum in 2017 plus the proposed increases to the levels at which an individual becomes liable to pay income tax at 45% (upper middle wage earners) and the proposed increases in Inheritax Tax exemption levels.
Labour voters may have switched to UKIP because of the referendum and the 'belief' of the wage squeeze caused by both skilled and unskilled eastern European workers.
The above factors would be more felt in the marginal seats held previously by both major parties.
Fellow contributors; this is solely my opinion so if you intend to 'rubbish' it please, oh please, don't bite my head off and let me have your contentions.

Oh, I must return to a 'political' statement. If any Eurosceptic believes that a 'Brexit' with the consequent stop of European immigration would result in business owners (small, medium or large) becoming suddenly (suddenly becoming?) magnanimous with future wage increases I would suggest you look out your windows to check for flying Berkshires!!!

The exit poll of 20000 VOTERS would always give a more concise result than a random poll on 1000 people in the street!

The SNP vote will diminish when it becomes apparent they are toothless at Westminster. To prove this point I would sign the
purchase order Trident on Monday whilst doing a photo shoot with the irrelevant (though self important) Nicola Sturgeon not invited but indeed
the leader from Westminster Angus Robertson there.
The SNP vote is only a backlash on labour for not being left wing enough and for an apparent betrayal at the independence vote.
The SNP vote will diminish when it becomes apparent they are toothless at Westminster. To prove this point I would sign the

It was noticeable how moderately well (compared to the rest of the country) that Labour did in London. The first thing to factor in there is the poor showing by UKIP because so many in the nation’s capital were not born here.
If the economy tanks, it will not be down to the Tories any more than it would be down to Labour. Neither of them has any real control over market forces it is just that Labour’s tax plans and lack of a credible employment policy would have torpedoed inward investment and create trouble earlier.
In a couple of weeks the cries for electoral form will have gone away for another five years. Everybody seems to have very short memories. The Liberal Democrats in the Coalition got a referendum on changing to a proportional representation Alternative Vote system and the public voted 70/30 ‘No’ to it. It is true that the seats in Parliament will not reflect percentage share of the vote, but do we really want a crooked system like they have in Italy where the biggest party gets a bonus so members of its coalition group get more seats than their percentage of the vote justifies?
