The difference between football and rugby.
An Irish player was going to say something to the referee and the ref just said, "away" and off he went.
    What a game!!!

After being stopped O’Grady failed a roadside breath test and was found to have 42 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath. The legal limit is 35.
O’Grady, 30, of Mill Road, Nottingham, appeared at Norwich Crown Court yesterday having previously admitted dangerous driving, drink-driving, failing to stop, driving while disqualified and having no insurance.
He has 24 previous convictions for 42 offences, including two for driving with excess alcohol.
Jude Durr, for O’Grady, who had been on his way back to Nottingham at the time, said he was still a young man but admitted he had a “poor history of offending”.

Totally off topic (as per what this thread is for) but I just contacted a company in Porto that offers dialysis to holidaymakers / travelers.
Free with the EHIC card, which I have, but will it be scrap plastic by the time I want to go in May / June <yikes>
At least the facility exists to book the required treatment in numerous cities around the world - I really did think my foreign travel days were over! Fingers crossed something can be sorted out.
Gagging to try a Francesinha (google it - example below)

I've tried it, wasn't a fan personnally, an overly tomatoey sauce with a not entirely texturally pleasing whole. I may have had it in the wrong place but had lots of great food in Lisbon and Porto over a couple of trips, the Francesinha was one of the only disappointments.

    Bah!

Proof of the pudding and all that. Otherwise it would be like going to Napoli and not
trying a pizza, or anywhere in Italy and not having a gelato. <yikes>
I'm not looking forward to it quite as much now, though. :emoticon-0106-cryin

    ;)

P.S - How did you find Porto and northern Portugal in general?

I've mearly managed expectation, it'll now have a chance of exceeding expectations. Besides I think COSMOS food is alright so what do I know?

I've only done Porto on hols and a work trip to Aviero in the north. Fish is a strength as you can imagine and I had good fish dishes at both. Out in the country near Aviero work took me to a fabulous roast pork place, a local speciality but god knows where it was and what it was called but that was heavenly.
Lisbon and the Sintra region is fab too. again great seafood, great local sausages and a food market with Michelin stared stalls.

    Bah!

Derek Hatton has been suspended from the Labour party over a tweet just two days after his readmission was confirmed.

Hatton, who was deputy leader of Liverpool council in the 1980s and a leading figure in Labour’s Militant wing, was controversially readmitted after 34 years, it was revealed on Monday.

But the Liverpool Echo reported that on Wednesday Hatton was notified of his suspension pending an investigation into a tweet he posted in 2012.

    Well,that didn't take very long

I was in Tesco today and amongst all the Easter eggs in mugs they do one for Help for Heroes, they are trying to raise £20,000 for Help for Heroes, it's only £4 for a small hollow egg and a small packet of chocolate buttons and a nice ceramic mug

All in a good cause <cheers>

MPs are to receive a 2.7% pay rise from April, taking their salary to £79,468.

MPs who chair select committees will also see a rise of 2.7% on the additional £15,509 they receive for that role - taking it to £15,928.

    Looking after No1 again
