I didn't really realise it at the time, but Sven probably set us back a year. It wasn't the quality of his signings, more their temperament. I'm sure Sven saw them as having the attitudes of winners and paid them accordingly, but time as proven most of them to be a group of overpaid moaners. Even some of those that have knuckled down under Pearson have the potential to be troublesome if mismanaged, while most of those that Pearson has signed seem to be workers that just got on with the jobs they're assigned to do. I don't envy Blackburn if Sven is heading there, but he will suit the circus atmosphere of that club at the moment.
Hull City have today signed David Meyler and Robbie Brady, for undisclosed fees! People are saying, however, that Meyler cost 1.5m and Brady cost 2m

I'd argue that de Laet and Konch are wing backs for us. The amount of goals we score because Konch/de Laet has crossed it in from the byline is crazy.

Bent is a few appearances away from triggering a clause which says Villa will have to pay Sunderland a rumoured 6M
They should look at it another way. If someone offered them the chance to sign Darren Bent for 6M then they would have snapped their hand off. Bent will score goals for them

Bradford deserved the win, they were really good tonight.
