Daka should get a run now ...
Best wishes for a speedy recoveryGoing to be missing my first home match in years tomorrow night as off work with a back problem. I can hardly move, but at least it’s on the red button, so not a total disaster!
We have learned nothing, we are playing appalling, why the hell don’t they get the ball to Fatawu early every time he is in acres of space with his arm up all the time? He is caning his fullback at will and is going to be where our chances come from tonight, and don’t get me started on the crap Daka effort from that brilliant corner routine and one of the most stonewall penalties I’ve seen in a long time???I hope we learned something from Saturday's game. Up the tempo and kill the game off as early as possible. Cut out the silly, needless mistakes. Give the opposition nothing. If they fancy their chances then make them earn it.
Thankfully we finished the game with no serious injuries or broken leg!Grinding out the wins when not playing at your best wins titles![]()
But it doesn't provide much evidence that we will be able to compete against Premier league opposition.Grinding out the wins when not playing at your best wins titles![]()

When you see the speed and tempo at which teams are now playing in the Prem - even Man City for all Pep's possession based philosophy move it around much more quickly now - we need to start trying to emulate that so we can have it ready for if we get promoted. Enzo has to get players on their toes and moving into space to enable us to get that ball forward as soon as possible and before the opposition gets the chance to regroup.
Yes just in time for him to head off to AFCON… I didn’t mean to press send yet!
mute early days so I won’t write him off yet but Cannon I thought looked absolutely woeful against Milwall. Hopefully it will finally be time that Daka realises his potential…!
Tbh, I thought for parts of the Millwall game we played some of the best football I've seen us play this season. It was the 1st time I've thought I can see Enzo's plans coming to fruition. Moving the ball around at pace, looking to pull them out of shape and waiting for the opening. Quick free kicks, plus (the plan b?) long ball from Hermansen (Daka drops and spins, CB in his wake)
I think Enzo is slowly adding bits to the plan, moving to the next stage only when he's comfortable that we've grasped where we are.
We might have the best defence in the league but we still have to deal with silly mistakes and, more importantly, the scramble in the box situation. Teams that just lump it in and look to bundle it in somehow are getting goals.
