I haven't seen much of Soumare, but what little I have seen has not been encouraging. I thought he had been bought as cover for Ndidi. He is a big unit but seems to lack pace and doesn't punch up to his weight. He's been very anonymous in the games I've seen him play in.

His distribution is better than Wilf's .. and he is still adjusting to the pace of the Prem - KDH has the advantage over him in that - but is also more of a creative player anyway.

I am cautiously optimistic that Soumare will come into his own next season ...

My post above should obviously say I hope the naysayers dont sway Top. Both Daka and Soumare are still learning. Soumare needs a bit too much time on the ball and the emergence of KDH has been a real bonus so theres still plenty of time for Soumare to adapt to the PL. Daka again is a different type of player, much more effective on the break. Both will be good squad players. It shows how much credit in the bank you get, KDH at fault for goal two but nothing said, if it had been Cags or Armartey people would be screaming

I’m also quietly optimistic that Soumare will step up heft year. I think Tielemans will go but automatically be replaced by KDH in a three with Ndidi and Maddison and Soumare will fit in fine. Problem with someone like him, this year when he’s a back up when he comes in for Ndidi, we expect him to play like Ndidi. When he comes in for Tielemans, we expect him to play like Tielemans. When he plays with them both, I think the system just doesn’t work so he doesn’t stand a chance.

With a proper run and his own ‘identity’ I think he’ll be fine

Trust Leeds to sack their manager a few days before our game on Saturday! Hope we don't see the usual 'new manager' effect. :steam:
We really must win both tonight's game at Burnley and that Leeds one at home on the weekend. Less than 3pts puts us right in the proverbial!

Has Perez upset Brendan? It used to be the case that he couldn't wait to get him on the pitch. Now we never see him. Not that I mind. Just wondered what had caused the change.

Shocking game today, but the result was everything. Can someone tell Barnes to sprint back rather than jog, so that he can help his team mates defend.

Hopefully we’re keeping him free from injury until we sell him in the summer. Total waste of £30m.

6 points. 2 cleans sheets.
Some areas of improvement, particularly defensively. Soyuncu seems to have regained his confidence.
Today obviously wasn't vintage but points are more important than vintage right now.

Think we also need to acknowledge how well Daniel Amartey has been playing...
After his aberration at Forest he has been playing well. In fact he wasn't playing too badly before that but looked to be affected by Soyuncu's lack of form more than anything.

Unsurprisingly, as is the Leicester way, made a difficult night of it, especially the last 15 minutes. But, another European Quarter Final awaits.

Brilliant to see Little Wes back and a fabulous goal.

Obviously, we managed to accumulate further injuries....

One for the oldies ... Andy Lochead has sadly passed away aged 81 ... old style centre forward that often put his head in amongst the flying boots ... brave as a lion
