Praet has to be the player whose reputation increases the less he plays. I don't understand how he doesn't get game time even off the bench.
Hope so too. £30m for who is regarded as the best player in the Championship, while Chelsea want £80m for Gallagher! Enzo might see it as a chance to rebuild midfield though, we could bring in Sensi, O’Hare and more with that kind of money. We always seem to have plenty of assets we could sell, Souttar, Ward, Daka etc, but no one ever seems to come in for them. In an ideal world we’d sell them.
I'm surprised it has taken so long for the papers to start trying to sell KDH. Personally I can't, and hopefully won't, see it happening. He comes across as Leicester through and through, and I can't see him going with the team in the position it is in now. He is irreplaceable at the moment, and I'd almost go so far as to say we could kiss goodbye to promotion if he goes.
... actually started by an excellent first half performance from an excellent young keeper ... 6 academy graduates took to the field today
Playing a young inexperienced goalkeeper instead of a 65 year old Danny Ward was a massive gamble! Good to see the youngsters (and the not so young Denis Praet) get a chance. Hopefully we can get a kind draw for the next round and give them another outing.
Bournemouth definitely winnable. If they are in a relegation scrap, morale will be low. If they aren't, they may be complacent.
This transfer talk over KDH seems to be gaining some credibility and momentum, which is very worrying. The club are not ruling it out, but it is hard to see how we would be strengthening the side for the second half of the season by selling our most influential player who has been instrumental in getting us where we are now. Enzo has proven himself a good coach, but now he needs to prove himself as a competent manager.
That's another £5M on the price tag Hopefully, with our valuation it'll curtail the interest of potential suitors. Although, a vastly over inflated price didn't dissuade Man U from buying Maguire
Been impressed by Ben Nelson's performances in last few games - shows incredible maturity for a 19 year old - very composed. Was interesting that Mresca brought him on instead of Coady at half-time - 2-0 is not done and dusted by any means - so is a big thumbs up for the young lad in terms of Maresca's belief in him - great to see another quality academy prospect coming through. Looks like Vestergaard could be out against Watford on Saturday and will be interesting to see who Maresca selects - could move Doyle over and bring in JJ ... or straight replacement from Nelson Souttar or Coady - great to have such options tbf...
A scrappy game and we made hard work of it. But, ground out the win and another game ticked off, with 3 points in the bag.
