Ndidi could be off to join Brenda at Celtic (as might Amartey)

I think Daka will stay ... and will get lots of goals in the Championship ...

Kristiansen will also stay, as I think will Faes ... the rest? ... who knows?

Viktor Kristiansen makes his full International debut for Denmark...

Iheanacho and Ndidi help Nigeria qualify for ACON ...

Daka scores for Zambia as they qualify for ACON

Faes and Castagne play in Belgium's clean sheet in Euro qualifying ...

Evans plays for Northern Ireland...

Danny Ward saves penalty in Wales loss ...

Now a couple of those may leave ... but we should be comfortably challenging at the top end of the Championship with the squad we will likely have...
when you read it like that the question returns to 'how the hell did we get relegated'

Probably because in there you've Ward saves penalty but doesn't mention he conceded 4 goals...

And Brendan.

That's it really.

And the frustrating fact remains that it was unavoidable.

Oh but it was all so avoidable if you are talking relegation. Once the summer transfer window shut Rodgers should have stopped whining and talked his players up instead of continual moaning about what he didnt get, imagine how the dressing room felt. He should have played his best players instead of having his head in the sand (soyunco) and made us much harder to beat, then the board should have acted way sooner to get us out of the slump we spiraled down into. Add on top this contract farce where we lose 7 this year for nothing followed by the same next year. What an awful dressing room it must have been. When the fixtures come out in an hour or two its going to kick off my bitterness all over again, this is just the warm up.

Maddison to Spurs looks a done deal according to Percy. £40M plus add ons.

Obviously Maddison isn't interested in winning things or playing in Europe. Really thought a top club would go for him.

From our point of view, excellent to have a deal done early and money in for the rebuild.

Harry Winks expected to come the other way.

I don't really have a problem with Maddison. At least he did keep putting the effort in right till the end. Shame we couldn't get a bit more for him.

But I do like the deal for Coady. Rather expensive, but could be a good signing for us. With Evans not committing so far, Coady might be a good sort to have round the dressing room. Good leader and talker on the pitch as well as being a good defender and not injury prone like Evans. And I think Harry Winks could be a good addition. Plenty of experience and another committed player. Again a little on the expensive side, but would add real quality to the midfield.

I agree ...

We may (reports differ) have tabled a bid for Swansea centre-forward, Joel Piroe who has a pretty good goalscoring record over the last couple of seasons ... others linked are keeper Zack Steffen from Man City and teenage centre back Zac Awe who is out of contract at Arsenal ...

Stowell, Sadler and Knudsen have left the club. Another departure, with FBS as shirt sponsor. King Power will return as our shirt sponsor.

The press release reads as though its a 1 year/ short term deal. Perhaps they were hoping for another lucrative more commercial deal with someone and it fell through with relegation.

The shirts looked crap with FBS on and we've been terrible since they started sponsorship. Whilst we had some great years with KP shirts. I'm therefore expecting a great season now :emoticon-0140-rofl:

I think its quite sad how we cant attract a sponsor and Top has to put his hand in his pocket again. Do like the KP shirts much better than the FBS ones though.

I can't imagine for a moment that we can't attract a sponsor. We'll be one of the high profile Championship clubs and plenty of TV coverage etc. It just wouldn't be the same level of deal that we'd negotiate as a Premier League club.
We look much better with King Power on our shirts and I'd much rather that than some other awful betting company.

Surprised that Knudsen has been released. He seemed to sure up the defence somewhat for set pieces - maybe got a better offer.

Good to get those 2 signings over the line in time for the start of pre-season training. I wonder who else is on the radar.

Do we really have no quality coming through the development squad to ease the need to buy in new players?
