It does matter, because you were once again trying, and failing to be a smart arse. :emoticon-0102-bigsm

The discussion you're referring to was on border control, you're now trying to conflate that with a different policy on immigration.

If you stop trying to be a smart arse, and actually had an opinion on something yourself, perhaps you'll be taken more seriously. :emoticon-0105-wink:

As you'll no doubt just burble on saying **** all, her views there seem in line with those of the Scots regarding the English in higher education. Do you have an issue with it happening in a part of the UK?

Dont confuse him

And he's off <laugh>

What the actual **** has Scotland and higher education got to do with the fascist saying that foreigners should pay for schooling in France?

It's not in line at all. It would be if English kids living in Scotland were charged to go to school. Tertiary education isn't a universal right. Foreigners pay more for some tertiary education in England than English kids do too.

Border control is part of immigration, so no conflation here. She's proposing denying free access to what should be a basic right. If that's her view of foreigners' kids, what other otherwise free services would be a fee for only foreigners?

Nothing is free, someone pays for it, often the tax payer.

Okay, as you're determined to conflate them.

If they move to France, and they have an option to become French citizens, they're no longer 'foreign' and get the education.

If they don't want to be French, why should the French fund them?
