It's you disapearing at tangents. I've stuck to the point. You could try doing the same for novelty value if nothing else.

As for Chomsky, I don't doubt that's his view, he's a fan of the former Greek finance minister I've mentioned several times, and he too was strongly in favour of Remain.

Only a bigot would see a problem in sharing many views but having a different opinion on one or more.

Talking out if your arse, yet again. Remind me, who was it who brought up the subject of a bunch of loopy anarchists chucking bricks at Foxtons, and then desperately tried to link it to the EU debate? Now, that's going off on a tangent!...

Chomsky's view from just before the vote was that we should stay as he feared we would become more reliant on the US if we left. I remember reading it at the time. I'm not a follower, he's far too left wing for me.

You're the ****ing bigot mate. In your parochial little ****hole, chucking around accusations at others of all the things you are and do yourself.

The only people here who take you remotely seriously are KK Kustard, Two kitchens, and Dog's little seiner. And they couldn't raise a decent size brain cell amongst them.

****ing hypocrite. ****ing joke!...

Probably. In the meantime the pound plummets and inward investment stalls as a direct result of our govts rhetoric.

May and her Gvt are ****ing clueless. They can't stop fighting amongst themselves. Poor Hammond spends half his time trying to cover or explain May's latest foot-in-mouth gaff.

Meanwhile, as you say, the markets and business are scared ****less of this idiocy and are pulling their horns in fast.

Not so.

Full single market access will require free movement.

Whatever the definition of "free movement" is for the EU politniks, assume now that the
UK govt will not agree, and operate on the worst case scenario (EU/UK trade conflicts) .
I expect to see info coming out from both sides for this particular "war game" scenario.

But are these problems/solutions intrinsically bound to the UK (not) being an EU member ??
No, but how could the EU allow a member state to leave and retain the benefit of it's primary function i.e. the single market, without having to allow free movement which is a pre-requisite for membership? It'd cause complete uproar.

People have been hoping that the 3 Tory stooges could somehow overcome this obstacle, but it's apparent from the tone on both sides, that it's simply not going to happen.

<laugh>

If your posts are an example of what your life has reduced you to, I'll stay happy as I am.

You're proud to declare yourself a bigot, yet you hurl it around like an insult and get offended when your bigotry is pointed out.

Maybe have a word with your councillor and get them to up your meds. <ok>

You've pointed out nothing. Only your own stupidity!...

Im fairly sure it will be a war game. Full of accusations that the other side have been unreasonable.

It's a 'conflict' that we'd lose, it's been done to death. Our exposure is 44% of our exports, the highest individual EU member states exposure is about 7%.

We'll operate on WTO tariffs until a deal is concluded - the timescale will far exceed the 2 year deadline imo.

In the interim, tariffs combined with a weak pound will drive inflation due to our trade deficit and our appeal to global business seeking a European base will be zero.

But it's all sound, as we'll have our country back.

Wasn't the primary purpose of the (now) EU to prevent the devastating military conflicts
that destroyed Europe twice in the 20th century in the space of 3 decades ??

The primary function of the EEC was the single market. We've always been a reluctant partner in the EU, hence our extensive use of our prized veto.

I'm not quite sure of the relevance of the question given the context though?

You've pointed out nothing. Only your own stupidity!...

It's you looking stupid and hypocritical with your attempts at diversionary abuse.

You mention Chomsky's personal opinion as if by default it must make my personal opinion wrong. That's the position of a bigot.

I see nothing wrong in accepting his opinion as not wrong, but my own views differing.

You take far to narrow and simplistic a view and people with a wider view confuse you and make you angry.

Your insecurity manifests as arrogance.

They are telling me that very strong coupling between European nations via trade
was deemed to be a means of preventing military conflict.

You taik so much bollocks and you maybe wonder why nobody with more than a quarter of a brain takes you remotely seriously.

What makes me angry are idiots, like you, who, even when they're proven to be wrong, still persist in their diversionary tactics until they bore everybody else into giving up.

I repeat, you're a hypocrite.
