You don't seem to understand how to use statistics. You've totally ignored the population in each of those statistics. It's like quoting the statistics about the likelihood of being murdered by somebody who knows you and deciding it's best to avoid everybody you know.
Population of England and Wales approx 55 million. Number of released killers who commit homicides on average per year 3.5 Therefore chance of one then killing a particular menber of the populace approx 18 million to one. Which bit of that explanation does not take the population into account.
Glad you are not my accountant.

I think you have demonstrated very well that you don't understand statistics. People tend to get killed by somebody who is known to them.
Do you think you need an accountant? Do you think you can afford an accountant?

It was a very safe bet that Pete would be pro death penalty. He's such a scared old tart that he'd happily purge the world of everyone who isn't a fat **** book keeper working out of a garage in one of the ****test parts of south London <laugh>

So if you know any incarcerated murderers, then avoid them when they get out?
Pretty sure I didn't need to know that, but quite solid advice, regardless.
It's not just people who have already murdered. Even people who have never murdered before tend to kill people they know.

I do have an accountant, but if I couldn't afford one I wouldn't have one would I.<doh>
I know most murderers are known to the victim but obviously they have no idea that they will be murdered, so on average you have a 70,000 to 1 chance of being murdered by a first offender but an 18 million to 1 chance by a repeat offender.
I do understand statistics. I am just coming just coming up wth deductions that you do not accept and with answers you don't want to see.

I quoted your words verbatim knobhead, it's sadly you that believed it.

I know what I posted you thick ****er (easy this childish keyboard warrior **** isn't it) there's only really paultheplugplug that's grasped it. You certainly haven't. <laugh>

I was pointing out the incorrect use of statistics.

Only his stats appear right and the fact that you've not countered them with anything other that your usual meaningless bluster confirms it.

You sad old ****

And he torched with actual numbers what the rest of have done with mere common sense you dozy melt

How thick are you, seriously? <laugh>

I suggested the numbers approach with my very first comment, but you and your buddies were too thick to grasp it, and instead tried and failed to rejig the argument.

You need a new passtime, you're rubbish at this. You try to turn every discussion into a battle of winners and losers, and get your arse handed back to you nearly every time.
