I'd be happy even if we don't bring anybody else in now. Would still like the strong target man and another full back but for a team of our size and standing, Congerton and DA have done exceptionally well.
And, it's a thread for transfers, doesn't say anywhere it's specifically to Sunderland If it doesn't interest you then fair enough, no need to be a bit of a prick about it, is there?
De Guzman to Bournemouth is happening apparently. Although I did see on Twitter that he'd missed his flight to stall the move. No idea if there's any truth in it. Bit of a strange one that I reckon.
He's obviously a prick. Why choose Bournemouth ahead of us? Funny one. We moved on, hopefully Toivonen will work out better anyway.
He didn't choose them over us, we got sick of him 'wanting more time to think about it' and pulled out of the deal. He's desperate for a big club to come in for him by the looks of it, not going to happen though.
Tiago Ilori a Deadline Day target for Sunderland after Fabio Borini deal 1 COMMENT 22:30, 31 AUGUST 2015 BY DAVID MADDOCK Dick Advocaat will go back to Anfield to try for the Portugal U21 defender on loan having already bought two of his teammates this summer Andrew Powell please log in to view this image North star? Tiago Ilori of Liverpool is wanted on loan by Sunderland Sunderland will return to Anfield on Deadline Day to try and tempt defender Tiago Ilori to join them on loan. Fresh from completing an £8million deal for Liverpool striker Fabio Borini, and having bought Anfield defender Sebastian Coates in July, the Black Cats now want the Portugal Under-21 international to make the same move north. Boss Dick Advocaat has tracked Ilori for the past six months, but had an initial approach for the 22-year-old turned down back in June. Liverpool though, have told the centre half they will not stand in his way if he wants to further his experience, and see a short stint at the Stadium of Light as a way of progressing his career. Borini completed his move on a four-year contract after Sunderland agreed a fee that could eventually rise to £10m, depending on appearances. Liverpool youngster Samil Yesil has joined Swiss side Luzern on a year-long loan. Spanish prospect Sergi Canos will also leave the Reds' Under-21s to spend six months at Championship Brentford.
Don't want this lad at all Funky. He has been sent out on loan twice already and failed to impress, we have Beadling in that position who is developing nicely and I don't want this lad to stump his growth. Big no from me.
It was a case of both clubs trying not to blink 1st but has back fired on them both. Now United are stuck with a keeper who doesn't want to be there and can go for a big fat zero in the summer. They could come bk in january for him but it wont be a £29m deal then. LVG either needs to find a quick replacement today or get De Geah's head sorted and put him bk in the side cos the keeper they have between the sticks now is bit suspect IMO.
Hillarious this, if I was Man U I would offer Degeah a new deal on more money with a 19m buy out clause. That was they get they money, the player would likely sign it for more money for 6 months.
Alvarez - interesting. http://www.sempreinter.com/2015/09/01/fcin-alvarez-appeals-to-fifa-to-be-released-by-sunderland/?
How the hell are we hanging on to him? I thought we were the ones who wanted rid. Getting weirder this like.
De Guzman has turned Bournemouth down to stay at Napoli!! Some dodgy twitter account saying Aiden McGeady is on his way to Sunderland for talks. I'd be surprised if it happened mind.
