Root taking the new ball tells you how well he thinks his spinners bowled. Is it not possible for our so called front line spinners to work out they needed to bowl a bit quicker on that track..?
They have already got a hundred too many..

Yep, which is why I'm not fussed in the slightest. This game was over on day one.

I also personally don't see the toss as being an issue in this test. It was clearly helpful in the 1st test - as it so often is on the sub-continent - but in this test, there has never been a time that it was good to bat on.

I could easily have seen us bowled out for 134 on day one, let alone day two. India have better spinners, and better batsmen against spin. So when the pitch is like this from ball one, they should always be beating us. Bat or bowl first.
