If Alsop is going to come in at 3 then why not open the batting?, he was virtually opening today anyway.

It's a bit much to be asking our wicket-keeper to also go out there and open the batting. To be honest, even selecting him up at 3 is a little unfair.

Not that I'd expect (and want) us to enforce us - why willingly choose to face Patel in the final innings of a match? - but this spell has opened up the possibility of Warks not reaching the FO target.

Great that we play them without Bell and Hain. They must get a huge proportion of their runs.

And no Olly Stone with the ball too (nor Sidebottom and Norwell).

Although Sibley remains on course for to make a century for the 6th consecutive FC match - if he doesn't run out of partners first.

Weatherley and Soames going along very nicely.

Yes, a much better result although they both led charmed lives at the start but maybe that is the best way of them getting a substantial partnership, by playing their shots rather than defensively and getting out cheaply anyway.

Could be over a 400 lead by COP at this rate, be nice to have a little dart at them tonight.

Don't need a 400 lead, we should be looking to declare an hour or so before the close.
