Just four points separating the top three. Our best start to a season in four day cricket since 2005 (when we so nearly won the title).

By all accounts the wicket on the IoW next week is an absolute road, so don't be surprised to see 600 play 500. Rahane has arrived now.

Am I the only one who thinks a close game that ended in a loss would be good in the run up ?
A close game where the top order have to rely on tail enders like Curran and Rashid and we still win was even better!

Eoin Morgan has also intimated that the pitch at Headingley won’t be a flat track like the others have been, to challenge the batters even more.

Absolutely, nothing better than testing the strength of your lower order and negotiating a tricky run chase successfully, losing those tight ones can mentally scar a team.

Assuming the IoW wicket is a flat as I understand, I think it would make sense to bring Crane in for Berg or Barker. Get as much x-factor into the bowling attack as possible.

I wonder if the opener who keeps his place (with Rahane coming in for the other) will also then be the guy who replaces Vince on Saturday?

Great run-out from Rashid.

Notts electing to bowl is interesting. Either the pitch isn't as flat as you thought or it's because they're playing at a ground they haven't played at before.
