Presumably Weatherley will now be dropped. He had a great opportunity to stake his claim and he could only scratch around for 11 off 71 balls. The fact that Gubbins and Prest have scored so freely makes it more obvious he needs to go.
 
I'm certainty not disappointed that Bairstow is missing this game or that Richardson has been replaced in this game. But I'm not sure how long this substitution trial should last for, at least without the ECB tightening things. Maybe it's just a coincidence and early days, but it does feel like quite a high number of players have already been replaced. How many of them really were unable to continue?

So TKC and Goldsworthy will both miss round three against us. Hopefully we'll be going into it off the back of a win here.
