I remember us using 11 once before, Pothas was bowling with his wicket keeping pads on!10 bowlers used - don't think I've seen that before in CC.
I hope he has problems with his bootlaces & pads and needs a bat and gloves change too!Abbott taking his time walking out!
Well at least we won’t get relegated, there is that. What a shame for Somerset that they can't force a win, I feel so sorry for them... Cue the 20 point deduction to come for the Durham pitch as well.
Rain all next week would do me
Got a time machine then? Let's have tomorrow night's lottery numbers please!Phew
But we're getting relegated next week unless the vote to turn D1 into 12 teams is passed.
The forecast for Saturday in Nottingham is actually improving, it was solid rain all weekend before. Hopefully there will be the chance to get the match completed properly. It will be interesting to see if they put Washington Sundar in the squad, but I expect they won't.
Good point. There's an outside chance we might have McMullen back after his Scotland duty, which would certainly help balance the team in Dawson's absence:He didn't feature in the group stage, so won't be eligible (as an overseas player) for the final.
Apparently England might yet release Currie to play.
I like your thinking but surely it would be more likely to be Organ to open and Fuller down at 8, Barker 9, Abbott 10 and probably Baker at 11?Dawson and, presumably, Baker will be available for Surrey so we should at least have our best bowling attack for the first time this season. I think it's an absolute given that we prepare a wicket that will turn as the match goes on. I would be tempted to try something radical and drop Middleton and have Fuller in the team as an opening bat. With Dawson back and Sundar and Barker in the team our mid to lower order batting is strong enough to try it.
