I'm not sure you can class reaching Finals Day, the One Day Cup final and being in the CC title fight near the end as a disaster!
True, but I think every Somerset fan really wanted the Championship more than anything. I’m gutted we couldn’t quite make it this year.

149 years of hurt…

Surrey Champions again...:emoticon-0118-yawn:
Bad luck Chilcs, it should be an interesting shoot out for 2nd place next week.

Apparently the forecast next week is pretty rubbish all round the country. So I imagine they'll be a lot of draws. Thus it could be very important that we've got ourselves a two point lead (which is more like a two and a half point lead, because we would finish higher if level on points).

Oh what a shame for Lancashire........not.

Play abandoned for the day at Trent Bridge. They’ll try again tomorrow at 11am. Those poor fans who have travelled up from the West Country and South Wales, most of whom won’t be able to come back tomorrow.

Today's match has already been reduced to 20 overs a side - the minimum overs required to get a result. Looking at the forecast, that's the correct decision and that may not even be enough. Could end up sharing the trophy!

Hopefully we can bowl them out with enough time left to get the runs before the heavens open again.

Such a shame to see the stands almost completely deserted though.
