One could mention the Hannon-Dalby lbw and Singh being caught off the boot at silly point today as factors in our missing 16 points but one has to accept that we're still not quite strong enough consistently, as noted above. I haven't looked back at the scores again but, from memory, I think some of the early draws were a bit like 'losing draws' in fact, where we had started to fall behind in the game a bit

Vince not declaring early enough was a big factor in the Warwickshire match imo.

Good luck to Kent though. Needing to overturn a 36 point deficit over just two games, having won just one game all season, averaging less than one batting point per match, and with September being notorious for rain and bad light.

I'm sure these eight draw points will be an enormous help to them...
There did seem to be a lot of needle in the closing stages, hopefully Hampshire won't get into any trouble with the match referee over it

It'll be interesting to find out what it was about. If it was about the Singh not-out call, then it's petty. Things like that happen all the time in cricket, nothing to get so angry about. But if it was more about Kent's general negativity, then I get it.

There's a reason why cricket is more exciting when it's being lead by the likes of Stokes and Warne.

Surrey finish on a very gettable 153-9. Great performance by the Somerset bowlers, and pretty much all catches taken.

Somerset win by 6 wickets after being 7-3 in the 3rd over. Fantastic partnership of 144 between Rew and Dickson before they let Lewis Gregory come on to get the winning runs.

Treble still on!

Come on Glos, let’s have a cider-flavoured final!

Gloucestershire demolish Sussex by 8 wickets in the 14th over to set up the T20 Final every cricket fan will have dreamt of.

An interesting morning's cricket around the grounds. After Kent's negativity last week, I'm pleased to see Notts whack their bowling all over the park. Bye bye Kent. Surrey would have wanted more than 3 wickets when they stuck Durham in. Somerset's morning in Manchester after they picked up the key wicket of Jennings just before lunch. But at the same time their batting is vulnerable to a collapse so that one is interestingly poised as well. Hants well set at lunch - only team out of the top 3 who chose to bat after winning the toss. Virdi has got the ball to turn just a little so Dawson and Organ will certainly come into play later in the match.

Wow. Worcestershire wicketkeeper knocks the bail off with his arm and Vince given out bowled. That wicket stinks.

Edited to say I have watched it back on super slow several times and I am still unsure what happened! :D
