Cook is now England's highest ever test runs scorer . Must say I tend not to pay to much attention to this sort of thing , sportsmen / women of different era's face different situations . Amount of games played/ styles of play / / races driven etc .
 
Oh I agree , but what about over rates , hours / days lost to bad weather , it really wasn't a complaint and well done Cook and Anderson yesterday , just IMHO there are so many variables .
 
Well, I told the wife I would watch the first couple of overs while suffering with manflu ... might as well watch a couple more now and see the end of the innings!

I can see a lot of people adopting NZ as their 2nd favourite team. Hopefully the rest of the world, including England, follows NZ's path. This has probably been the best two test series I have ever seen involving England, and a huge amount of credit goes to NZ for that.

I think the way test matches are being played is changing . I have loved these last 2 tests , total respect between the two teams :-)
 
Flying run rate. We take a wicket. Ordinarily you'd expect that to put a lid on the flying run rate. But this is NZ, and this BMac at the crease...
