Theres no doubt we're in danger of losing Bale but as you know yourself when you've lost players like henry, viera, nasri, clichy, rvp, they felt they had to move to a big club (or bigger if i dont want to wum) to acheive their goals or believed they had outgrown the club.
Clubs like spurs, goons and the chavs are all big clubs, but we've had a succession of useless managers up until Jol/Redknapp and haven't had the power to throw 50 million at one player like the chavs.

Is HAIG banned from the Spurs board too then ? Also I didn't claim that I was on the wind up, I said that I was posting some tongue in cheek banter, if you're wound up, then you need to unwind. Besides I thought you were claiming that I was the one who was getting wound up ?

I just think it might be a bridge too far to hold onto him to be honest. He is playing football that would improve any team, including Real, Barca or Utd. Levy will hold out for a massive fee for him, but like Modric, if the player wants to leave, he runs the risk of ostracising him if he prevents him from leaving.

Why would HIAG be banned from the Spurs board? You're not, yet you banned him for doing exactly what you're doing. We've banned neither.
As for not being on a wind up, you've claimed to be intentionally 'sucking people in'. That's winding people up. Not me, of course, as I'm used to your behaviour.

It's uncalled for, for HIAG to be banned from the goons board but if piskie is honest, i expect its because HIAG witty and tounge in cheek comments pushed his buttons and wound him up!

I think there's a line between banter and outright wummery, it just seems that some people's threshold for getting their knickers in a twist is pretty low. It does make me laugh though to hear people saying that I'm the one getting wound up, then accusing me of winding them up.
So anyway, back on Topic. Far from being wound up by Bale, I've been enjoying seeing some of his play, he is a truly exceptional player. I just happen to think that his good form and massive profile makes him even more of a target for a big club this summer, that's not wumming, that's just a simple observation

I'm not claiming to engage in or be subject to either, so you're flogging a dead horse by contantly banging on about it. Continually making incorrect assumptions about my intentions, still doesn't make them correct. I have pointed out where people have said that they're not going to get sucked in, only to do just that, of their own accord. I've never claimed to be intentionally sucking them in.
But your constant attempts to make accusations about my intentions, however wide of the mark they might be, reveal more about your reception to my comments. It appears very much as though you are allowing yourself to be sucked into an issue that doesn't really exist on my part
As for Modric, he became ostracised at the club. Asking for a transfer request and even I believe considering going on strike. You had a deal worth forty million on the table but levy turned it down, hoping to squeeze more money for him. It failed and in the process, annoyed the player even further. There's nothing dishonest from me about that, you might not like it, but that's what happened. This is why I think Levy will think twice before playing hard ball to such an extent with Bale.
