2894, or The Fossil Man (A Midwinter Night's Dream) is an 1894 utopian novel written by Walter Browne.
It is one entrant in the major wave of utopian and dystopian literature that characterized the final decades of the nineteenth century.

The book deals with a reversal of the traditional gender roles, and describes a society of "dominant women and submissive men."
It is one of a group of speculative fiction works in its generation that took a position, pro or con, on feminism and gender roles.

2894 is one of the rarest works in the English language.

The island is home to seabird colonies, including masked boobies.
Dive sites surround the nearby Admiralty Islands.

Those masked boobies sound interesting:emoticon-0110-tongu

Quadrant Cell Photoreceiver, InGaAs, 900-1700 nm, 8-32/M4 Thread
MODEL: 2903 £1,828

Description
The 2903 Quadrant Cell Photoreceivers is ideal when you need to measure small deviations in the position of your 900 to 1700 nm laser beam, such as that required in beam-stabilization systems. Quadrant-cell photoreceivers consist of four individual yet identical photocells positioned very close to each other. To increase the sensitivity of these photoreceivers, each of the cells photocurrents is sent to its own individual amplifier before being processed with the other photocell signals to generate top-minus bottom difference (vertical error) and left-minus-right difference (horizontal error) signals. A sum-of-all-quadrants signal is also provided for normalization purposes. These photoreceivers can operate off batteries, your own DC power supply or our Model 0901 power supply. 8-32 mounting thread. M4 metric adaptor and tool now included.

The NSWGR once had a fleet of 590 “Standard Goods” locomotives of the (D)50, (D)53 and (D)55 classes.
5595 of the K(1353) / (D)55 class now represents this fleet at Trainworks, Thirlmere, as seen in this photo dated 23 November 2008.

The K(1353) class 2-8-0 freight locomotives (reclassified as (D)55 in 1924) were a further development of the earlier TF(939) / (D)53 design in the “Standard Goods Locomotive” family started with the T(524) / (D)50 class in 1896. 120 examples of the (D)55 type were built by the Clyde Engineering Co Ltd at Granville between 1918 and 1925, bringing the total number of NSWGR Standard Goods Locomotives to 590. The K(1353) / (D)55 class differed from the earlier TF(939) / (D)53 class principally by the use of outside valves; the uncommon Southern valve gear was chosen having been earlier tested on an aging Baldwin 2-8-0 freight locomotive, no 2904. The K(1353) / (D)55 class were originally built with superheated tapered boilers but were later fitted with a standard superheated parallel boiler which could also be used with the earlier (D)50 and (D)53 types. The K(1353) class engines were nicknamed “Katies” by NSWGR railwaymen.

A total of 70 (D)55 class members were converted to oil burning in the years after World War 2, following industrial unrest which threatened coal supples. (Apparently the (D)55 class were best suited to oil conversion because the outside valve gear provided more room for the oil burning gear to be fitted to the firebox between the frames.) However the oil fuel was more expensive than coal and hence most of the oil burning engines were stored after the industrial unrest had passed. 14 were subsequently converted back to coal firing but the future for the rest was not positive with most withdrawn in the 1950’s and quickly scrapped. A number of the coal burning engines remained in traffic into the 1960’s. The last was 5597, withdrawn July 1967 and scrapped on 21 August 1967, leaving 5595 as the only remaining example. Interestingly, significant numbers of the earlier (D)50 and (D)53 engines still remained in traffic at this stage.

According to “Steam Locomotive Data” (the bible for NSWGR steam locomotive information), preserved engine 5595 entered service as K 1447 on 3 July 1924, was withdrawn in July 1966 and condemned on 17 November 1967 with 1,658,884 km travelled, the highest distance for a (D)55 class engine. 5595 was stored at Enfield and had become somewhat derelict when it joined the growing New South Wales Rail Transport Museum (NSWRTM) collection in the Enfield No.1 Roundhouse, remaining in this rust-streaked condition when transferred to the new NSWRTM site at Thirlmere in 1974. 5595 was subsequently repainted and restored for static display by NSWRTM volunteers during the late 1990's and is now the sole representative of the 590 Standard Goods Locomotives within the Trainworks museum at Thirlmere.

2908 apartment 4, I remember
We were trappin' in and out the dope, I remember
Miss Shirley's house breakin' down them things, I remember
I used to serve my partner momma, she's a crack fiend…
Yeah
I gotta take 'em back to the 'Crest man
That's where all this **** started at, you namsayin'
Stop sign ****, namean
Hallway ****
Dice games, nigga lose it all
2908 apartment 4, I remember
We were trappin' in and out the dope, I remember
Miss Shirley's house breakin' down them things, I remember
I used to serve my partner momma, she's a crack fiend
Damn I remember
I remember
I ain't know no better my nigga, I apologize for that
Damn
I wanna apologize homie
I ain't realize homie
I had that hustler instinct
Everything we monetize, homie
Your little brother like my brother
Left him traumatized, homie
And you my nigga
You were down to do a homicide for me
This that hood ****
We was on Woodcliff with them choppas
OCU and undercover narcos tryin' to stop us
Signed my first deal, focus did some good
Still, I put 100, 000 worth of guns in the hood, I remember
They couldn't tell us **** nigga
We were ready to go to war with whoever
That's when we came up with Ridgecrest Afghanistans
2908 apartment 4, I remember
We were trappin' in and out the dope, I remember
Miss Shirley's house breakin' down them things, I remember
I used to serve my partner momma, she's a crack fiend
Damn I remember
Fiends lined up at the dope house
Used to have money, now you broke now
I used to write my raps in a dope house
Used to laugh at me, it ain't a joke now
Dope, dope house
I remember, I remember
The dope house
I remember, I remember
Dope house
Yeah I remember them days, I remember
Yeah I remember them days, I remember
I caught my first charge on Shady Vista
Same street I shot my first pistol
Big G damn I miss you nigga
Lil' Tweety damn we miss you nigga
Look at me, we never envisioned this
If I crossed you on the way I never intended it
If I rob you I did it purposely
Still thinkin' 'bout niggas murkin' me
Dirty money we washed that **** in the laundromat
We were trappin' on the Greenbriar by the laundromat
You shot at us, you know we shot back
I'm from Ridgecrest, they say I don't know how to act
I apologize
Not for my actions, I was trappin'
I was tryin' to feed my family 'fore I was rappin'
My first charge attempted murder and kidnapping
Now he sorry ask the victim why it happened
2908 apartment 4, I remember
We were trappin' in and out the dope, I remember
Miss Shirley's house breakin' down them things, I remember
I used to serve my partner momma, she's a crack fiend
Damn I remember
Dope house
I remember, I remember
Dope, dope house
I remember, I remember
Dope house
Yeah I remember them days, I remember
Yeah I remember them days, I remember
I got keys to the city
Wanna know a secret
I had keys in the city before the keys to the city
So how the **** the landlord think he gon' ban me
Fell out with real hittas from the hood, niggas couldn't ban me
'Cause my only plan b is death before I be a pussy
And throw this **** away before I let a nigga push me
Extort who? I wish you niggas knew
I ain't even ****in' with you if you need a chick to shoot, ha
And take a chain from who?
Thirty million dollar niggas still got something to prove
And if they mob they mob and that's what it was
But I watched these young niggas grow up, that's why it's love

We are FIRST robotics team 2910 Jack in the Bot, a robotics team from Henry M. Jackson High School in Mill Creek, Washington.

Our team started in the August of 2008, when a group of Boeing employees met with a career technical education teacher from our high school at the local Round Table Pizza. A few months later our team was in front of a live NASA broadcast being presented our first robotics challenge. We pumped hours upon hours of our time into crafting a robot that, in our opinion, would have an actual chance against the veterans in the FIRST Robotics competition. While bolting pieces of metal to each other, we had to organize team communication, team rules, and team funding. However it was a task that we accomplished with a combination of hard work and community support.
