Ex-LNWR 0-6-2T No 6883 stands at Coventry at the head of a down local passenger service at Platform 2 in the 1930s. The man wearing the bowler hat is probably the shed supervisor whilst the man on the running plate appears too young to be the driver and is probably the fireman. Built at Crewe works in October 1888 it remained in service for nearly sixty years being withdrawn in May 1948 from Bletchley shed for scrapping during June 1948 at Crewe works.

A new air compressor is installed into Union Pacific GE AC4400CW No. 6891 inside the Backshop at UP’s Burnham Shops at Denver, Colorado, on the evening of December 17, 2015. Normally this can be done with overhead cranes inside the Diesel House, but the GE locomotives that were meant to be converted to AC6000CWs were equipped with larger radiators, making installation of internal components below the radiator more difficult. A forklift in a more open area of the shop does the job.
On a beautiful winter day, narrow-gauge 0-8-0 steam locomotive Mh.6 is pulling a special Christmas train #6897 from Sankt Pölten to Mariazell. This locomotive was built in 1908 by Krauss & Comp. in Linz, for the NÖLB (Niederösterreichischen Landesbahnen), Austria. The track gauge is 760 mm (2 ft 5 15/16 in). The line was already electrified between 1907 and 1911.
