The Pennsylvania RR No. 5741 is a class G5s 4-6-0 "Ten Wheeler" built in 1924 at the PRR's Juniata Shops.
The G5s class was designed by William F. Keisel, the railroad's chief engineer, for commuter service - a task which required speed, power and the ability to stop and start frequently.
It was the most powerful ten-wheeler produced in the US and became the standard PRR commuter locomotive until superceded by diesels in the 1950s.
Today it's on static display at the Railroad Museum of Pennsylvania.

Ex-LMS 5XP 4-6-0 Jubilee class No 5742 is seen just after nationalisation of the railways at the East end of Platform 3 whilst at the head of a Euston express.
Built at Crewe works in December 1936 No 5742 was a number of Jubilees that were given the double chimney to aid steaming.
Whilst deemed to be a success it was not adopted across the class because of the modernisation plan of British Railways which would result in the rapid diesilisation of the network.
However, No 5742 was to remain in service for another sixteen or so years being withdrawn in May 1965 from Kingmoor shed in Carlisle to be scrapped in August 1965 by the Motherwell Machinery & Scrap Company of Inshaw Works.
