Thanks so much for that Devo. I have to say that the accusation that I am trying to shut this thread for some reason is rather hurtful.
That glow-wire assembly is a joy to hear about and I am sure that amongst the regrets that posters on this site will have on their death beds, not spending more time on here will be top of the list.
Only one thing could improve it really. Could you perhaps rename the thread since it's historical content is drawing to a close. How about "Anorak's Corner" anyone?

2008 UEFA Champions League Final.

Manchester United won the match 6–5 on penalties, after a 1–1 draw following extra time. Cristiano Ronaldo opened the scoring for Manchester United in the 26th minute with a header from a cross by Wes Brown, but Frank Lampard equalised shortly before half-time. The second half and most of extra time passed without incident until Chelsea's Didier Drogba was sent off for slapping Nemanja Vidić four minutes from the end. In the penalty shoot-out, Ronaldo missed Manchester United's third kick, giving John Terry the chance to win the game for Chelsea, only for him to slip and hit the post. Edwin van der Sar then saved Nicolas Anelka's effort from Chelsea's seventh kick to give Manchester United their third European Cup title.

2011 England Riots - Between Saturday 6 August and Thursday 11 August 2011, thousands of people rioted in several London boroughs and in cities and towns across England. The resulting chaos generated looting, arson, and mass deployment of police. The riots are sometimes referred to as the "BlackBerry riots" due to the use of mobile devices and social media to organise them.

Evening anti ! Dry today, but cold. We were all over Wycombe Wanderers like a rash in the first half, and mainly under the cosh in the second half. A points a point, but could have easily been three if we had taken our chances early on ! Shock defeat for Saints today, but a cracking late goal to win it. Have a good day <ok>
