Well.

Got an Evolution mitre saw and matching saw table.

And a new pair of homies. Previous pair a few years old now but still good. New ones are like walking on air though.

Gin, weird fish T-shirt’s and other bits n bobs.

Get in.
Getting slippers is a sure sign of getting old, asking for them means you're deffo in oap territory.

From someone who knows...

Completely stuffed on goose and Barolo, /QUOTE]

How was this pairing? To me, it sounds quite unusual. How old was the Barolo? Barolo is a heavy tannic red which I would consider more suited to slow-cooked beef stews rather than a Christmas goose. We went for a mature (2011) Chateauneuf du Pape, much softer and fruitier. For a white alternative, Hugh Johnson suggests a Pfalz Spatlese. (I have a couple of Barolos squirrelled asaa but am in no hurry to drink them.)

It worked well for me, the Barolo (2013) wasn't as heavy as some thought it might be. We also had a Gewurztramine for the fainter of heart, this worked well too.

Thanks for that. But I think I''ll stick to Chateauneuf for Christmas dinner.
