mild, I dind't want to over do it. But, very needed and also, beautiful. Thankfully, I know what I am doing and where I live.

Hadn't done them in a while and I am no junkie. The night was so pure and the moon and stars out. I am complete again!

Morning all. Cloudy, but dry at present. The heavy showers that we have had over the past few days have almost refilled my water butts, so very different to last year when I was already at the start of what turned out to be a long hot and dry summer. When I went to get some bread yesterday I noticed that the customers were back at the Café des Sports, sat outside with a beer of glass of wine. Today I will be going lawfully to have dinner with my daughter and granddaughters for the first time since January. On Friday Mme needed to see the doctor to get a new prescription, so phoned up at 11.00 am and had an appointment at 5.00 pm. Life is slowly returning to normality, although seeing people with their masks on is not normal. Whatever you are doing enjoy it. <ok>

I see Donald Trump says if American Soccer and the NFL players kneel during the National Anthem then he won't be watching those matches!

Wow! However will they cope without him?

    <cheers>

I'd call that good news for all concerned - probably one of the best things he's done as president

Morning all. Variable is the best description of the skies at the moment. Cloudy one minute, bright sunshine the next. It was lovely to spend the day with the family yesterday and catch up on all of the granddaughters news. Shame that the son-in- law could not join us, but the lockdown with Switzerland only finishes today. He is planning to get home next weekend, which will be the first time since the middle of January, a long time to be away from his family. Fortunately he does have a washing machine in Switzerland. The grass in the field behind my daughters house had been cut during the week and yesterday a tractor was up and down turning it to help it dry out before it is baled. The buzzards were busy circling and then swooping down as the small rodents were disturbed. It looked as though they had quite a feast. Have a good day whatever you must do. <ok>

    Monday - done!

It always kills me - even if I have had a decent weekend.

Bagged a good interpretation gig today, so very happy about that.

    Onwards and upwards.

Morning all. The whole week is forecast to be like this morning, sunshine and showers. It is making the gardening efforts difficult with the soil being rather too wet for the hoe to be effective. Still most of my veggies like water and my water butts are now full again should a dry spell arrive. Have to get a man out to sort out the electronics on Mme's washing machine which is refusing to spin at the end of the cycle. As it is still under guarantee I tried to contact the service centre yesterday, had twenty minutes of dreadful techno music, and gave up without speaking to anyone. Better luck today I hope. Have a good day whatever you can do. <ok>

Meanwhile, we haven't seen blue sky for over a week. Dreich, as it's described up here, with showers every day - maximum temperatures varying between 5C and 8C. A lot warmer today at 17C, but still no blue sky... :(

Morning all. Sunshine and showers again today, still looking on the bright side the cherries have swollen with all the rain and have really ripened up. The roadmen returned yesterday and have deposited crushed stone along the edges of the new tarmac. The grass that a number of us cut to make the place look tidy has now been reduced to a narrow strip, so there will be little point in trying to get the mower to it. It looks as if a lot of money has been spent on something that was not really needed. Have a good day whatever the weather. <ok>

Morning all. Same as yesterday, sunshine and cloud, but a good temperature for working. I received an email yesterday to say that a parcel was on its way and would be delivered today. It has had an interesting journey.

Just shows how the world never sleeps.

The best bit is that I don't have a clue what it is as it is a present from my daughter in England. Have a good day wherever you might be. <ok>

    Now I'm jealous...
I bought and paid for item online on 1st May, and was told to expect delivery on 26th May - it was only at that point that I realised I was buying from China.
No sign of it by the 30th May so I emailed the company - they responded saying it had been sent on the 4th May and could take 35 days to be delivered so I should receive it on 8th June.
No sign of it by14th June so I emailed them again - they responded yesterday saying that "Item may be delayed and stuck somewhere. However, the problem has been resolved - it's now awaiting customs clearance."
Apparently I should receive it in 25 days time - but if I don't "please don't hesitate to contact us."

Does anyone on these forums think like me that taking the knee is possibly the worst choice to make as an act of defiences
You take the knee to your monarch or liege with both hand on your knee to prevent reaching for a weapon and your head slightly bowed and the monarch or liege chooses to tap you on both shoulders to knight you which means you promise to give your life to save theirs, or, they chop your head off
The American football player who did that to the national flag obviously had no idea what it meant nor did Trump because if he did he would have insisted that the entire population would have been ordered to do in future

So, it is a form of submission, right? That is how I saw it but didn't want to say anything as more often that not I am wrong!
I have only got down on my knee twice and the second time it felt sooooo strange as it was to a vicar.
