    I decided not to bother.
I don't like the uncertainty and feel alienated from the club and I am not as convinced as most that progress was made last year. The games were awful and we fluked a lot of points.
If I am wrong then it will prove expensive but I think we will be nearer the relegation fight than the play off fight with the circus carrying on. I cant be arsed to commit time and money to twenty three home games and fifteen or so away trips!

Was listening to 5 Live today, Lambert left as he wants to be responsible for signings, he doesn't want to work with a director of football.

I think the progress if any was the improvement in the squad. Whether that remains come the start of the season I agree is very much up in the air and did consider holding off myself to see how it all pans out over the summer.

On balance though I think Radrizzani will have some sort of go but we have to keep and strengthen to be in with a shout.

    Where our squad has improved.

    Green
    Ayling
    Jannson
    Bridcutt
    O'Kane
    Hernandez

All signed in the last year and good additions.

    Vieria
    Phillips

    Progressed to definite first teamers.

    Coyle
    Denton
    Peacock-Farrell

Another year in their development and useful squad players.

    Roofe
    Antonsson

Open to second season improvement along with Sacko if he signs.

Means we still need significant additions but at least there is a base to build from.

Greene, Cooper & Berardi with Ayling, Pontus & Coyle may be a good defence but feel we need another Taylor & Bartley.

Bridcutt, O'Kane, Hernandez, Vierra, Phillips, Denton, Sako again is ok but need something very creative in there.

Roofe, Antonson & Wood either needs 2 of the 3 to actually improve or we need another top striker. Wonder how Billy Sharpe would have done under Monk as he smashed 30 for the Blades and will be up against us this coming season.

So the new twat Orta needs to bring in a top manager (Luadrup I hope) and some of these weaponised names from his black book

With the exception of Viera because of his potential there isnt a quality midfielder in the club.
O'Kane average. Bridcut poor, Hernandez a luxury player we are not good enough to carry. Sacko headless chicken. Dallas crap,

We were battered in midfield in 30+ games last year.

Pontus over hyped, green decent but should be our number 2 with silvestri gone and a decent keeper brought in.

I suppose it depends on who replaces Monk. If we get a good coach and hold on to the players, with a couple of class additions we could be good. If we sign a run of the mill coach we could lose players . Whats happened to Laudrup?

"Director of football" is a term describing a senior management figure at a football club, most commonly used in Europe. The exact nature of the role is often unclear and extremely variable and causes much debate in the sports media.
