They were a client of mine when I was working for one of the big 4 accounting firms at one point... on their knees in 2005 and close to going under ... remember meeting the group finance director at Toddington services on the M1 to discuss how they might bolster the balance sheet ... they literally had 2 retail stores... flagship at Neal St in Covent Garden and a pop up at Smithfield... mega brand resurgence culminating in selling the business to a VC house in 2014 for a cool £300 million and with stores in every major city ... my favourite client by a country mile ...
