Not anywhere near as good a bargaining position as Joshua has with all them belts ... Wilder needs Joshua much more than Joshua need Wilder ... <ok>

I don't think so. I think Wilder would be perfectly happy to just sit on his belt unless the offer is right. Hearn has bigged Joshua up so much that he now needs to unify the division. There are already people saying he has ducked Wilder once, if they don't sort it out again then more and more people will start saying it. Joshua is golden boy can do no wrong so there is no way Hearn will want any sort of dirt being able to be thrown at him.

Exactly - Joshua can fight nobodies and make a mint for the rest of his career.

Wilder is forced to make a 50-50 split with someone who is coming off a drug ban and fought 2 really boring fights.

Can see the opposite happening - Joshua sitting on his belts and Wilder sweating it out fighting in 15k arenas while Joshua is selling out stadiums.

Joshua doesn't need Wilder at all - if Fury beats Wilder, can see them never fighting ever.

OR he can be a champion and unite the division AND still make a mint.

Know which one I would prefer.

Joshua is a marketing dream. He is a media trained robot who is a license to print money for Hearn. That licence will start to expire if more and more people think (doesn't matter if it is true or not) that he is dodging somebody. Hearn won't want that. How long do you think he would keep selling out Wembley if he keeps fighting the 3rd/4th ranked heavyweights and not fighting the best? People will start getting restless/bored and want him to go for it.

Is what everyone would prefer but Joshua is the one in a position of strength here - can see him just facing mandatory challengers for the next year waiting for Wilder to snap and accept his terms.

Don't you think Hearn knows that. It's probably why Wilder is the stumbling block. Not according to the "people" though.

Which is why I think Joshua will fight the winner of Wilder / Fury ... but he will likely demand a larger portion of the purse and the number of belts he will bring to the party is the justification ... if any challenger quibbles over that then they don't want the fight enough ... because the holder of ALL the belts will have even greater pulling and future purse bargaining power <ok>

So doesn't that put Wilder in a position of power then? He can be demanding and, as you say, Hearn knows he needs to make the Wilder/AJ fight.

Also Wilder made him look like a right mug by sorting the Fury fight so quickly, with them both coming out saying how easy it was to make the fight and true fighters will fight anyone etc. Made it seem like he was always up for the fight and look like AJ was the one ****ing around (I have no idea how much truth there is in that, but generally people are thick so will buy into that idea, which makes AJ look bad)

Is why Wilder has to strike while the iron is hot - Joshua can fight nobodies like Charr to unify the WBA championship and face off against Fury, Whyte and Chisora to fill the stadium.

Wilder only has one bargaining chip being the belt and if he loses it, then that is that.

Is the other way around for me - Wilder looks like the mug having to bend over backwards and cater to a boring drugs cheat in Fury.

Joshua doesn't need the fight yet while his star is so high - can fight nobodies for a while yet.

If it ever got to a point where AJ looks bad I reckon AJ will make the fight himself . I think he trusts Hearn.
