If someone put in on the table a meal you neither asked for or like, would you accept it? I don’t see any obligation to accept the voting options.

There is plenty to suggest they won’t.

I don’t see the relevance of your last paragraph, as I believe all change is proposed to be next season.

At least they wouldn't be child portions. <ok>

The Allams haven't actually said anything, but club representatives have told some of the Supporters Committee (following universal complaints about the restrictions) that they are open to discussing further amendments to improve things if the vote for concessions is successful. Obviously it might be bollocks, but it's what they've said.

<laugh> Well that’s reassuring isn’t it!

I'm not naive, I know full well what they're like, but are we going to challenge them to change these things or just give up?

I really don’t understand why this argument about giving up has crept in. The situation regarding concessions is unacceptable and will still be with either result of this vote, so the campaign continues, why shouldn’t it?

If I went to the table and only asked to be fed, could I complain that what was on offer lacked seasoning or could I take the next opportunity to ask for some salt and pepper? The call was for concessions, the result was a vote, it might not satisfy the hunger, but it shouldnt be rejected.

There has been movement and it was only going to be changes to match day prices this season, so that movement cannot be dismissed. I do not believe that the committee should have a vote and so I support a season membership vote.

What was expected from them, in terms of concessions, was very clear and easily understood, not to deliver it was unacceptable. The offer and the vote is manipulative and divisive, accepting it and then having to accept its consequences is simply feeding the Allam strategy. There’s been nothing learned and that’s sad.

What?

Oh. It's you.

Well it's what I've been told.

It's also well documented online.

They'll maybe switch campaigning to get supporters onboard for concessions if there's a note vote, but after a no vote, that would imo be futile and a waste of energy.

Of course you'll disagree.

Carry on.

There’s only one thing on there you’re right about...

The club have already confirmed to Geoff, that once the vote has been concluded, they'll revisit the issues that the Supporters Committee have with the restrictions. They might well not move any further, but they're certainly well aware that people are not happy with them as they stand.
It's not ****ing rocket science is it. Keep telling them tho olm. Cos it doesn't go in.

I have no issue with your concerns. They are valid and natural.

My view is that the Supporters Committee is not the forum for change, it is a forum for discussion, nothing more. I consider the vote to be a separate thing altogether.

So to make myself clear. The Supporters Committee may as well stick to discussion about mirrors and pies. That is it’s real purpose and just like the Fans Working Group before it, it has no bite and no strength.

I agree with PLT, OLM and others that say that we as supporters should vote for the return of concessions. I also believe that at some point the club will revisit the scheme.

I do not believe that the Supporters Committee should have any part to play in that process, beyond being asked for its views and recommendations.

The fact that the owners attended meetings does not and did not expand the remit of the committee. Too much was, is and has been made of their attendance.

Looking forward, if the vote is for no change that is it as far as any concession pricing. It is really the only opportunity for supporters to decide on this.

As for the concessions offered, the biggest issue is in the restrictions and not in the amount. The benefits are not as high as I would like, but, if we went back to the old system, I think that it would price out adult support. I simply do not get supporters who say that they currently are priced out.
