Queens - I seem to recall it was to do with an EU directive on noise emission levels. I may have dreamt that after listening to a UKIP bloke on the radio

seems criminal that you could buy a Ferrari, Aston Porsche or what ever and still have to pander to the greens eh?
What ever happened to big V12 6 litre fuel guzzlers then?....Oh yeah, petrol prices

Fair enough<ok>

I think you'll find companies like BMW in their M cars are veering away from big V8 n/a engines to smaller bi-turbo engines giving equal power but far less emissions. A 3 litre straight six twin turbo will never sound like a n/a 5 litre V8 will it? Hence to pre-recorded soundtrack.

AAAARRRGGGGHHHH....!!!!!

Those cars are for driving and meant to be enjoyed, not locked away in some rich blokes garage never to see the light of day
I understand the investment thing but please...drive the bloody things....Us mere mortals would love to get behind the wheel of a proper shelby.!!

Queens, as previously posted, this Mustang is more than enough. Never did like those GT500 .............. ( each their own )
Give me the Bullet vision anyday.

They look cheaper in Germany any German QPR boys in here? Need to know how difficult to import into France
Mates say they are good for 600k
Need 9 seater

Excuse me, you love France and live there and buy a German Caravelle?

This is a Caravelle: http://www.classicandperformancecar.com/front_website/octane_interact/modelpicture.php?id=6826

Don't live here yet
Mrs DT going to run yoga school in the future so airport transfers etc
I can then buy VW components from the shelf to turn into a camper plus use it for my building materials and my fisherman friends
I have been told to go for 2.5 diesel TDI
German cars last
I would get a Saab if they made them
In the UK expect to pay 10k for a good one in Germany half that it seems wanted to know if there was a export duty in Germany
Have to have a car in France now a priority and not paying French or UK prices for. LHD
It is a mad world when the same car/van is inflated by a trend or consumer market I am a hypocrite but carry with that some big burdens of weak morals ...
Yesterday at Sacre Coeur the steps filled with praying beggars while inside candles are 10 euros for paying idiots

2.5TDI, is that PD or common rail engine.

I've had a VW engined TDI PD for 9 years with zero problems despite very high mileage. Pump Duse or whatever it's called is noisier but doesn't have the short trip problems than can occur with common rail allegedly.

Dave

As long as the 'Van' was originally sold tax paid within the EC then no import / export duties between France / Germany should apply.

You will need to get the thing the equivalent of a French MOT so that you can complete the French ownership registration. I'm sure that will be a lengthy and time consuming business and you'll need to check whether being non-resident in France is acceptable.

I purchased a LHD '96 Audi A6 estate in Germany to leave in Spain. Was considerably cheaper than buying in Spain or the UK

BBC4 now - Grand Prix the Killer Years, a very good documentary on the lack of safety in F1 in the 60s and 70s. 2 in 3 chance of death according to Jackie Stewart.
